- Hi, I’m WebzForevz, and I have a strange voice. I want to teach YOU how to have a strange voice too!!
Voice acting is a HARD profession to break into, so if you have a TON of voices under your belt, it makes it MUCH easier. Object shows specifically benefit from having these fun, random voices, so if you're able to produce any voice you'd like, it makes everything much easier!
Additionally, a character's voice is one of our first introductions to their personality. It's important that characters have memorable voices that match who they are.

this genuinely helped me a lot!! as well as being an aspiring VA, i'm a trans man and have a lot of vocal dysphoria. it's really hard for me to get my voice to sound less feminine, but your rundown actually really helped!! thank you man! i love your show and all the characters you voice. keep it up

I have half a werid voice- I might actually work on it like him! Because mostly I don't work on it, this guy did really make me realize I should do it in the first place!
When I voiced one of my characters I sounded like an anime girl
One example of great voice acting is BFB, there's 67 contestants and many of them share the same few VAs, but they still have totally different personalities from each other. Taco and Barf Bag have the same VA and even have similar voices(compared to Cake and Bell) but the way they talk lets you know who is who.

Nail was the first thing I thought of when I heard Lightning Cherry, but mostly just because they both are canonically orphans. Their voices are high and squeaky, but Nail’s southern accent and Lightning Cherry’s faster dialogue makes them sound like 2 different characters.

This is honestly fantastic. I can't even do voices like that. I didnt know you voiced Cherry the Orphan! He is best TPOT character no questions.
These are things I've always tried to keep in mind with my characters, as I've voiced so many different characters in my shows (from object shows to plush videos) and I have tried my best to make as much variety between their voices as possible. Unfortunately puberty has kind of limited my range in my tone but I have still tried to expand it especially in the last half year or so

Your wide range of voices would be perfect for the object show I'm making. I need voice actors because, even though it's a small cast, it would probably be weird if I voiced them all myself. Especially as new characters are added.
That s seriously impressive tho- Thank you for the advice, and love your show btw :) I'm actually trying to make an object show myself right now- and one issue i have is the voice acting, me and my friend are the only voice actors for my show-Im just not really sure how a voice acting team works, and I kind of just feel comfortable with my friend s voice acting anyway, i feel like other people would think that my show and the script s are weird and wouldn't want to voice act- Tbh, I've got most of the characters down, but however, I am going to have some issues with my male character s, especially considering that most of them have somewhat deep voices and are young adults, and i am a minor and a girl. My impression of male voice isn't horrible, but it's not rlly good ethier - I sound like someone who just woke up or a 10 year old trying to be edgy, and my voice will constantly crack or sound depressing, I can't put too much emotion or pitch into my male character s voices, or otherwise I'll lose that voice- And that's a problem. There is also a male character that has a British pirate accent for some reason, and both of my attempts to do ethier of those accent s suck 🧍♀️ And i am unfortunately a person who struggles with the embarrassment you mentioned, i will constantly cringe at myself and only practice or do voice acting when I'm home alone-
This might help me in the future for my fully animated object show called Schoolhouse Nightmare! I still don't have a script but I do have the characters! This will help me with some of my characters! So....thx!!!
