With Natalie you can only expect a superb performance .. my expectations were completely met .. & some! Superb! :)
At 8:56 it bothers me how the orchestra comes in as she sings “tod.” If they’d waited a few seconds and let the note ring through the opera house it would’ve given that a much more dramatic effect, which I think she intended based on the delivery
in these roles...she was from another planet!

This is Extraordinary. ( ignoring the noise in the background ) just Wow. My favourite part would start from 3:41 all the way to 4:54 Just Amazing! Then another incredible Dessay note at 7:36. Love Dame Dessay
The acting at the beginning alone is really involved.

You cannot save your voice much when acting like her used to. She gives everything! you feel it.

What a true and good voice for a Mozart opera. I heard her as Queen of the Night with Les Arts Florrisants under William Christie, one of the best recordings ever (together with the Kuijken and Jacobs renditions).

toll! ich mag sie sonst nicht, für die meisten Rollen, die sie sang, hatte sie einfach nicht die Stimme, darum ging sie ja auch kaputt. Aber aber das war ihr Ding, grossartig!
