hey, thanks! made this boomerang yesterday with some crappy plywood, works great! love that your video was easy to follow, even for a 14 year old. great design!
This is awesome! My son and I are talking about making one. He got a cheap one off of Amazon and it isn't returning back to us. Can't wait to try it. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
thank you brother for sharing tips on how to make a traditional Boomerang..I will try the traditional Boomerang I have never tried throwing a traditional boomerang..I used to use a 3 -wing Boomerang🤗👍👌
I really like your videos! Please keep it up 👍 they brighten up my day. Also the boomerang look great! I definitely want a wooden boomerang than a plastic one
I was given a Whamo Boom a rang and we lived in a suburban area in CA. I threw it gently over and over, not wanting to hit one of the nearby houses. Then when I got fed up I threw it hard so that sailed over the fence that keep kids out of the branka ( a large ditch for flood water control). It sailed out, curved around an feel nearly at my feet. I was so scared that I put it away until we visited my grandparents who had a farm. I never got it to fly as well as that one time!
thanks !, have you ever seen an old boomerang film that shows a champion boomerang thrower throwing like 10 in a row ...... it was a film is black and white , must have been in the 50s early 60s, the boomerangs were similer to the red one you have, only they were 3" inches wide and probably 27 inches from the tips.
I always thought boomerangs were so cool and when I play Mario those armored koopas I was wondering what they throw I thought they threw a sock but no it’s a boomerang
Born in '62, mate? We're the age - how come you look at least ten years younger than me? That's not fair... I was keen on boomerangs as a wee boy too; my best was made from two wooden rulers glued in an x-shape and flew really well. Then they started building on the scrap of wasteland where I played and that was the end of the boomerang-chucking. That was great Tom, the final throw-and-catch was terrific. Thanks mate.
1963 for me. That was a fun project to build. I thought it would be more difficult than it was. I might have a new hobby...like I need more hobbies. LOL 2 rulers really came back to you? Amazing.
The airfoil is upwards where there is a green marker on the drawing in the video. I thought the video instructions were pretty clear. Please watch it again.
i want one because i never had one and i dont have the stuff to make it i live in mexico and im 8 years old i have two earings and teenagers make fun of me but i realy waqnt one
Now come to Australia and learn how to make real traditional Kylees "boomerang" from a real traditional owner, from real wood.. not plywood.. in a workshop

I love that boomerang model. I would like to know if it can be done in MDF since in Chile there is no 5mm plywood, only 3mm and 8mm and thicker
I would not trust MDF. My sense is that after the first throw when it hits the ground, it would break in multiple pieces.
@@AlleyPicked
I understand. I hope to try and check it. thank you
What a video!
Will you be showing your grand-children that one! I am kinda surprised they weren't in the build.
Good point. I was going to but they were not around. It was kind of a last minute video. Thanks for noticing ;-)
Which side is curved and which side is smooth?
I made the same size with plywood 9mm. As I throw it will make an L shape curve, but it won’t came back. Is it due to the weight?
Yes very heavy. For that boomerang its ideal thickness is 4 or 5mm. And those of and 4 wings the thickness can be from 3 to 6mm
AWESOME ‼️👍🤩

The airfoil is upwards where there is a green marker on the drawing in the video. I thought the video instructions were pretty clear. Please watch it again.
