Hi Hal. Yes, we all left at 5:20 am to the starting point of the Mara 60K Challenge Reconnaissance. To get there by bike for me it was 25k one way. I know that some of my friends couldn't make the trip and turned back. I rode about 120 kilometers that day. It was exhausting after the 60k trip to return home by bike. The starting point was at the Simón Bolivar Planetarium in the Mara municipality and at the entrance there is a guard who guards the facilities.
