This is by no means the only way to do it - but it is my process and has worked great for my clothing brand. I'm hoping this gives you some guidance for your own brand. If this helped drop a like on the video! Thanks bahds

Definitely right about using different "lifestyle" shots as the main product pics. Especially if they all are outdoor shots from different locations/time of day/etc. I've seen some brands do this and it looks cluttered and all over the place. You don't want your product categories looking like insta posts. I think on the product browsing pages, flat lays or invisible mannequin shots look best with a uniform background across all products. In the actual landing pages of each product you can have the model shots. Some brands have their flat lay shots change in to model shots when you hover over them which is pretty cool as it's catches the customer's eye without having to click through. I think if you're gonna display model shots as your main product pics, studio photography is the way to go so they are uniform across the whole range.

Nowadays when Photoshop is a subscription one can assume people are in the latest versions. For a while they have had these tools in the select tab; "subject" and "select and mask". For these kinds of images it will work great and it's just a button click.

So how do you get your custom design garments onto headless mannequins?...as opposed to showing product with just flat image?

I believe you can just raise the tolerance to also remove the spots that the magic wand didn’t get. That way you don’t have to zoom in and delete the spots manually.

Canva removes the background for you with the clock of a but... Fyi (but it often downloads it at a lower quality)

Really torn on this. I like both the clean, simple look - but also like seeing the product on someone. I noticed you have the 2nd image as a mockup or person wearing it in the world. Is that how you recommend doing this?

I totally understand that. You want it to look real but still look professional. Yes that’s why I have my secondary photos of people in the real world wearing the product

That's how it should be tbh the main image should be the mockup and then the next images should be how it looks like on people. Other way around looks weird tbh

Dude, you totally owe me a new laptop. The screen has a huge dead spot from dropping the People's Elbow on it and the power jack is broke from Crushin' Brews and giving it a Stone Cold Stunner.
