    What I like about your performance is that the elbows do not go to the sides, they stay inside, within the plane of the forearm and the arm. That is an important condition for the form of a slow bar MU. Legs straight is another condition. Perfect, inspring, thank you Mr. Kavadlo.

    The better I get at calisthenics myself, the more I appreciate the mastery you demonstrate in your videos. Truly inspiring stuff.

    Now that is a muscle up (as opposed to a kipping up)! Thanks for the inspiration.

    the thumbs remain on top of the bar at all times in this video.That assists in turning the wrists forward as the elbows rise.

      spot on. this is how I have been doing mine ultra slowly too. this technique also helps reduce the pressure inflicted on my wrist during the slow rotation

    @Al Kavaldo, your form was flawless and perfect. My goal is to get to that level at 12 reps in a slow controlled manner of pure brutal strength.

    Man. That's frickin' awesome, Al. I could only do slow muscle-ups on the steady rings because of the false grip. Some day, I'll be able to do that on the bar. :D

    Hey al, im a huge fan of yours, you are very lean and ripped, is that genetics or did you have to change something in your diet to achieve that awesome build? Secondly, could you please devote some time in your training to master the one arm handstand pushup,i really want to see it and i think you are the only one capable of pulling it off!

    Hey Al! :) Hope you can help me out here:
    I can do 5 sets of 12-15 pistol squats, and I'm not sure how to advance myself "further" or change the leverage in any way to make an efficient lower body workout(which is really important to me) :)

    I can do 20 pull ups in a row, and hold human flag for 5 seconds. But i cant do muscle up, i have been doing negatives, and a lot of bar dips, but i still cant learn to do muscle ups.

      @@legen-dary I could at one point some years ago, but not anymore. I have moved to training with weights mostly. I still can do around 15 pull ups in a row on a good day though.

    Now come back down as slow...lol, just kidding, good job, I still can't do one muscle up at 90 KG, even though I can do 13 pull-ups with strict form, > 15 dips (hit 25 at one point when I was 85 KG ) and 7 handstand pushups (against a wall)

    • @bobikzielarz
      @bobikzielarz 10 лет назад

      work on your technique, try to do dynamic pull-ups i mean try to be as much above the bar as you can, i would recommend you doing one arm first muscle-up at the beginning then when you understand the motion you will do clean ones

    • @keem005
      @keem005 10 лет назад

      Even one arm is too difficult for me...even if I swing I cant seem to get myself over the bar.

    • @pdude1911
      @pdude1911 10 лет назад +1

      Try clapping pull-ups, and really explosive ones where you pull up as high as you can, using a little bit of momentum by tucking your knees up. I know strict calisthenics guys will say this is cheating, but swinging sure did help me to get my muscle up! Don't focus on numbers too much, if you can do >10 pull-ups you definitely have the strength, but need to work on technique. I know how it feels to be this close man, keep at it! You'll get the muscle up if you just keep training consistently!
