Tourniquet should be applied near the top of the limb, not just a few inches above the site of bleeding. Multiple reasons why, but one main reason is severed vessels might retract up into the limb and not be adequately controlled with a tourniquet that is too close to the wound. I’ve applied literally more tourniquets than I can count.

    14:00 hands him gun safely
14:03 points gun back at him 🥴

Ayrton, Sorry but you are 100% incorrect. I took the time to re-watch 14:00-14:05 in slow motion on a 30" monitor along with the entire gun handling portion (13:21-14:46) several times. . At 14:03 the gun is 20 - 25 degrees of angle from being pointed at Don Mann. Using the backdrop of 4"x4"s it would appear that they are standing 35" apart. That means that there was a distance of 20"-26" of safe area between the barrel direction and Don Mann being "flagged".
Now that I have proved that the gun was never pointed at anyone, I am dumbfounded that anyone would have the ignorance to even suggest that the firearm handling in this video was anything less than perfectly safe. Especially when you take into consideration that the firearm was unloaded, no magazine installed, and out of battery.
I mean no disrespect to you and I appreciate everyone who takes gun safety seriously. I do have a question for you and am interested in your thoughts.
What do you think about the practice at outdoor gun ranges when the "range master" says "range is cold" "all weapons down and placed out of battery". Then everybody walks downrange to change out their targets while being "Flagged" by several firearms pointed directly at them.
This is a scenario that has always made me nervous.

Being a retired LEO, one thing I would have like to have seen included in the "Go Bag" would be a CPR Resuscitator Mask (pocket size). In today's society one can't be too careful when protecting ones self from biological hazards.

Great job that the police do? They're the main reason for social unrest! I've been beat in my wheelchair at Harbor UCLA General and that deputy perjured himself in court without any repercussions. It's no problem for cops because taxpayers end up paying the many lawsuits, while they rarely get fired. Cops are to be held to the same consequences as civilians. Actually, should be more severe because they are supposed to not only be well educated with the law but, they're supposed to protect & serve not be a threat to communities. Too much power and money, thanks to political corruption. #policereform is long overdue.

    • @danielsullivan7740

People like you that generalize and stereotype Are the real problem. So because of one bad interaction the entire police are the reason for the civil unrest? I don’t think I’ve read a more ridiculous statement on a big daddy unlimited video

      @@danielsullivan7740 I do agree!

    • @junglist1soldier
      @junglist1soldier 4 года назад +1

@@danielsullivan7740 Aww, people like me? How about people like the majority of police! I never said ALL, if you paid any attention. If you only knew/experienced what I have, then you just might grasp where I'm coming from. I was first beat by cops in San Francisco at 15 and after being released my friends and I were robbed at gun point while the one white friend that was with us was pistol whipped a block from the station. You know what they said as they laughed at us? They threatened to arrest all 8 of us for disturbing the peace if we didn't leave in 8 seconds. They didn't hesitate. Then I've been pulled over multiple times for just the car I drive/racial profiling. No driving violations and no traffic ticket reason for pulling me over. Even on the same damned street I lived on for years! They'd either make up a stop sign that didn't exist or, claim that I was suspicious.
I highly doubt any of you pro-police people can comprehend what its like to go through any of this unjustly harassment because of your appearance.
There's plenty of examples of good cops who do speak out on their bad apples, which causes the entire department to outcast the supposed snitch.
There are cop gangs where I live. Then, the inhumane treatment within the County Jail system is atrocious. They treat everyone as if their guilty when in fact many are innocent trying to prove their case. Not only that, the system is designed for those who may be innocent to take a plea deal because if you don't you can face far more time if you lose.
Imagine getting jumped by cops and then having to defend false charges of assaulting an officer, every month going to court for 2 years while he and other officer's are lying on the witness stand. Imagine driving to work and getting pulled over because of your car being too fancy for a brown/colored person to be driving to be told to never return to that city again. I worked at that location for almost 2 years already without being pulled over before!
When I was beat this last time, I was at the emergency room for myself and wasn't even there for 15 minutes yet before an asshole in military gear begun harassing me. I didn't cause any disturbance and he couldn't tell me what the problem was until he forced me outside in my wheelchair. All because I had a camera which security let me in with.
I can go on & on with my experiences. This is the point I am making, bad cops who should not have ANY job are representing the badge and the good ones are complicit when they participate by not saying or, doing anything to stop them. If people at Wal-Mart or, any other business can't have a Union then the police shouldn't. Their police unions defend their unlawful tactics without impunity. They think its OK to treat humans like others/animals. They hire psychopaths without proper vetting. Then they even teach officers/deputies to become racist towards their own kind. The deputy that last assaulted me was a Latino, along with a black and a white cop. 3 of them jumped me off my wheelchair as soon as the aggressive deputy punched me in the face. After giving me 2 black eyes, he tried snapping my arm with all his body weight pressure.
All of this in broad daylight, in front of the E.R. entrance.
OK, I swayed off my point. Once again, my point is that not all officers are bad nor, are they all angels. If you are defensive about someone saying all cops are bad, which I never said, then how is it difficult to see that not all cops/deputies are good?
The stories of the various police gangs in California is just a tiny glimpse of how they are here and its just a small portion of the lengthy amount of time that they've been conducting themselves in this manner. Without any visible reforms put in place.
