Absolutely love whenever I can pick up a box set, it’s just so exciting to open it up and see all the movies!! I also have The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings box sets, it’s so great that Peter Jackson kept the continuity between the two sets. I recently purchased the giant Middle Earth Limited Collectors Edition 30 disc set, it’s absolutely fantastic and I got it for a great price at JB when it was on sale!! Pretty great video Dave!! 😃😆
Ohhh boy! I LOOOOOVE a good box set! Got a couple coming in the mail at the moment actually... but that's for another video :D That Middle Earth collection looked EPIC!!! I would've grabbed that myself if I didn't already have so many copies of the LOTR films (also have the theatrical blus and DVDs as well as the Extended DVDs in those gorgeous box sets!). I absolutely LOVE the LOTR films and enjoyed the Hobbits. I watched LOTR over and over as a kid when they first came out. Didn't watch them for about 13 years until recently when I marathoned all 6 movies. I held off on watching the Hobbit films until they were all out on extended blu just so I could do that. Amazing!

I remember it was very limited when it first came out and almost double the price of the digipack by itself, but I just HAD to have it! Looks like it was available in the U.K. too. There's one on the Amazon marketplace with someone asking almost £700 for! What?!!! I'm not even sure if the digipack is still available. I think you can only get them individually now.

Absolutely adore the classic DC movies! Some of my absolute favourites - and as I said in the video, I still consider Batman and Superman the two greatest comic book / superhero films of all time! Love the Nolan Dark Knight trilogy too... I just don't like what they've done with the DCEU.
Time, patience and a little extra effort is all they need to do their characters and stories justice (pardon the pun). Wonder Woman, I thought, was fantastic. Hopefully under new leadership they can turn it around - I want them to succeed because I really love these characters so much
Wonder Woman has been the one good thing to come out of any of the new movies, It will be interesting to see how different JL is now that Joss has been working on it and then is it Aquaman that is next year ? That will be a big test for Warner Bros as to how these movies hold together.
Yep, absolutely. I'm honestly not a huge Whedon fan, but he knew what he was doing with Avengers and he did it damn well! Hopefully that translates over too JL. Aquaman is going to be a massive test... it's a character that DC fans absolutely love, but no one else gives a damn about. Interested to see how that one goes.

Cool and while I love the dark knight trilogy tim Burtons original batman is also great especially the score (In fact when me and my brother played the first lego batman game we would let the bad guys kill us in arkham asylum just so we could keep listening to the music that played when the joker danced with vikki vale) But enough about that I did pre order a cool boxed steel book for the rebooted planet of the apes films from zaavi even though since the only one I own now is dawn so that should be fun when it arrives. Will you pick that up from them?
I LOVE Elfman's original Batman score! Too incredible. I hear MONDO will be releasing the Batman Returns score on vinyl around Christmas!!! That steelbook looks awesome. Not sure that I'll buy that, kind of holding out for the 4K trilogy set!

They don't rewrite or change anything like reboots do, if you compare The Norwegian base in The Thing (2011) at the end to the state they find it in The Thing (1982) it's pretty much the exact same, they made sure to show how every corps died and every bit of damage happend. Sorry if this sounds more rude than Intended. Loving the content
Trying to pick which boxset I want to get at Christmas atm it’s between the fast and furious 1-8 boxset on bluray for $85 or Harry Potter 4K $160 both jb hi fi
Personally would not buy the HP 4K set at $160, you'll be able to get it for around $100 closer to Christmas, or about $90 individually -- individuals are the way to go with that set in my opinion though, as they come with special features discs.

The Thing (2011) isn't a remake it's a prequal, technically The Thing (1982) is a remake of The Thing from Another World.
