Good work that took this sensei all his life to discover .There is an example that says: “ Whoever does not reach the bunch of grapes says that the grapes are sour.”

To all you ignorant guys who didn´t pay attention and are babbling about ki and how fake sensei is, he is actually heard asking what´s the matter with the guy who falls over all the time. He is appearently not happy over it and actually insists that they ask the black belt wtf he is doing.

I mean this with great respect to Harada Sensei, I think this video should be unlisted to protect his memory from association with the appearance that he endorsed or practise Ki or Chi throwing.
I am fully aware of what he intended to demonstrate here but that black belt throwing himself across the gym like a rag doll makes the demonstration ridiculous as opposed to demonstrating the power of an interrupt.
There is, justifiably, a huge anti-fake martial arts movement which seeks to discredit those who have confused mysticism with martial arts and it is grievous that Harada sensei should be lump in with those individuals because of a video such as this.
Again, with full respect to sensei.

What I see at the beginning of this video is a common-or-garden stop-hit , but after no fewer than THREE chances to pick up uke's timing; followed by a silly over-reaction by uke. It's a delusion at best; at worst, it's a dangerous delusion. I don't want to be disrespectful to Mr Harada, who has recently died, but I fear he spent much of his life fooling himself and others into believing that this is real karate. I understand that Harada Sensei's karate is supposed to be a recension of the karate taught by Egami Shigeru, who was Harada's teacher, but most of what Harada Sensei's students practise bears very little resemblance to Shotokai as practised by the descendants of Egami Sensei, and always seems to me limited and formulaic.

You are correct Sensei always pursued this ideal after practicing with Egami Sensei and his students are still continuing his legacy. Unfortunately people who have their own agenda are always willing to deride anything they don’t understand and have not tried.

Both of these demonstrations are something that looks magical, but really are not. Another level of application deals with sensitivity to intention, as in the first one and the tension in the other person in the second one. Both have nothing to do with the magical ki. He only explains as such to elevate his position and probably gives some nonsense as an explanation. These would be training drills as well, not application.

what benefit would the students get out of pretending, is he paying them to play along? Skepticism is natural but Ki or Chi or Prana are real energies and can be experienced, and there combat applications.
