would be nice to get rid of the wishbone boom for some type of ridged shaped wonder material, seems overly complicated on a simplified boat. i was thinking a junk rig however i think the mast is too far forward. a tiller for mechanical self steering also. i remember reading about a Canadian who sailed his 30 down the east coast through the Bahamas and Caribbean successfully. he became a little over confident and tried crossing the Atlantic to the cape and had to be rescued, don't remember the exact reason. overall though this is a magnificent island boat, just wish i had a few less years and a few more dollars.
