Oh Sharon, so happy you're back to the "basics". Some things never go out of style and always look good. I appreciate your keeping current with the newer styles, but I love this. I've been a floral designer since the 1980's and I never get tired of focusing on the good old standards. Everything old is new again. Thanks again. From NY, USA

@@sharondower Hi Sharon. I can't take credit. It's a song by Peter Allen that was in the movie All That Jazz. It's a NYC thing to say it but it's true when it comes to floral design. I saw one of your recent videos where you said your friends ask you why you make these old arrangements. Nonsense. They are the classics. It's good to branch out, maybe do a Dutch Flemish type of thing but what you do and teach actually sells in a shop, for weddings and events. And as you know, that's crucial when studying this art form. I watch all your videos, I love your work, I love the way you teach, and I feel that I can always see something new in something I've done a million times before. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

That's how I started! By watching your "Back to basics" It gave me confidence to do the church floral arrangements when the previous person left. I've probably watched every single video! Thank you so much!

Beautiful Sharon, love the colours. It’s always great to refresh design skills, and thanks for the tip about raising the Gerbera to allow water to pool, didn’t know that. Looking forward to the L shaped design.

Some flowers are from the garden, others from Supermarkets that are only bought for classes and lots of from local growers and my garden. I don't sell flowers like a shop, I only buy flowers that are needed for events and weddings. I'm not a shop you can walk into and buy flowers

    Hello Sharon,
Would zinnias be suitable for this arrangement.
I live in Barbados and have been following your channel since 2021.
    Excellent channel

Thank you very much, Zinnia would be perfect. If you have a selection start with the smallest flower for the longest stem and the most open near the bottom. Good luck
