    Note - a viewer sent me the link about the gathering of firewood. While we were told by multiple people it was allowed and even recommended, the official site says collecting wood is not allowed;
    “Fires are permitted only in the fireplaces provided or in portable fire pans. No ground fires are allowed. If portable fire pans are used, all burned charcoal must be carried out. Collection of wood is prohibited.”

    FYI go past the turnoff for Lee’s ferry and there are gas stations, general stores and lodging. Plus a few places to get some grub, it’s not 5 stars but your not going to go hungry. Heading up in a few months to do that run.

      The last time I went the stores there were closed so we HAD to do Page. This time they were open. I don’t know their schedule obviously, lol. Would have saved some time. It in the case that they weren’t open I thought I’d tell people other options. But you are right. So far I’m 50/50 on them being open

    I've been to Lake Powell 7 times with jet skis and boats and we always stop and take a peek over the edge at Horseshoe Bend. I always wondered what it would be like to be on the river below. Next time we'll be taking the kayaks and do this adventure! I got a kick out of your dad, he's about my age. Great edit and full of useful info, thanks and I just subbed!

      @@breanimal618 Hi. We went end of September and had a great time. The backhaul up river was available but definitely needed to be scheduled ahead of time due to crowds that weekend. We also were able to kayak from the marina to antelope canyon, visit the dam and hang out at the chains for a day swim. Glad we went, and hope you and your family have an awesome time!!!

    Are there areas of the river that would be too shallow for a Hobie kayak with peddle drive?

    • @azkayakguy7180
      @azkayakguy7180  5 лет назад

      Yeah, but they are avoidable. You could navigate it just fine. The water is so clear you can see the bottom 20 years out so you can steer around it.

    I'm wondering if you have ever heard of LEAVE NO TRACE!?!?! This video seriously makes me sad 😔. If the snake scared you so much that you fled a legal campsite to illegally camp in the tall grass where the snakes live you probably shouldn't be camping. Not to mention the destruction you caused rolling around and setting up your tents in this area. I hope you use this comment to reflect and maybe do better next time. As someone who is sharing these videos you have a responsibility to be an advocate for these wonderful places that will be destroyed if everyone does what you did.

    Sorry man. You lost me when I was 3 minutes in before I even got to your first real mention of the Colorado River. Way, way, way, way, way too long and self-absorbed.
