I'm pretty sure I've lost a bid for this variety at over $300, so I guess you got a deal. I'm a new fig grower as well, this is my 2nd season of fruiting figs, and I am up to 60 varieties here in southern California. Hope to see more from you this season

About four years ago, I watched someone pluck $1000 for a fig tree and as usual, it turned out to be a hype. I’m sure yours is another one , as long as you enjoy it, no harm done. To make a story short, I was able to pick up that $1000 tree last year, but I paid 20 plus shipping and waited over 3 years to get it. No fig tree is worth that kind of money unless you want it now or it’s coming from Mars. Happy figging

Not too many Khmer people like to eat figs. I have a black mission fig, I think, in the ground right now and the yellow stripes will be putting in the ground in the spring. I do want to add more varieties that ripen in September October November and December. If you can sell me cuttings of raspberry flavor, Montana verde, and any varieties that does well in Bakersfield ca heat. Thanks for making the video
Figbid.com is my favorite site to buy fig. Another great site is tinkerbugfigs.com. Now tinkerbugfigs doesn’t have many rooted cutting, but check them out in the fall for cutting and in the spring for rooted cutting ( tree). Thank for all the kind words!

one of the black madeira that I got from figbid has 1 fruit that is swelling. My others two tree seem to start ripening as well. They take forever to ripe. My trees are just regular black madeira not KK strain.
I have a few varieties of Fig from Ebay Sticks. My most expensive is only because of size, I have a 5gal Fig bush to plant somewhere in the yard. The one doing the best is a 5 inch stick I bought from Ebay though lol Bjorn's Diamond. Fig plants are a fun tasty hobby.
I think the most cost effective way to buy figs is “ cutting “. But if you want fruit in short time, the rooted cutting or 5 gal port are the way to go. Anyway, mine are fruiting now and I can’t wait!!
You can do air layer on this year young branch although an older branch is better. Just support the branch, don’t cut and remove a strip of bark like most people are doing. Just use knife to slid around at the node, wrap soil on that node you get it done with no risk, thanks

I haven't heard of this variety, and if it is worth that price, I wonder why this is the only vid on YT that talks about it?
It grow fine just not too vigorously. It bare fruit since it’s first season and this season also fruits. So far it seem to hit and miss. However just like in my 2023 fig wrap up video, I will not call out this variety just yet. In my opinion, there is no tree that worth that much, even the greatest!! I will talk more about it in the future.
It’s relatively new variety that why it cost that much. I have ripe 2 fruit this season and it looks promising. However, we can’t compare since it very different fig. I do own a few black Madeira and it definitely one of the best if it properly ripen.
I live in Porto santo island close madeira island Portugal here the black Madeira we call black fig from later and that variety loves to live alone not necessary big treatment
