The ending of this song is actually part of the first song (The night does not belong to God) from their first album Sundowning, creating a full circle trilogy. It's beautiful.
You’ve basically read the last page of the book. Now go back to the beginning and listen to the whole story. This song will have so much more impact after that.
Oh fuck yes. And I just love how the whole album takes you on this deep, often sad, dark and introspective journey and then releases you on this incredible, euphoric emotional high. Literally brought me to tears when I first heard it.
Haven’t finished this reaction yet but the only tragic thing about this reaction is you essentially just finished the season finale and said “alright, let’s watch the rest of the season!” Lots of reactors make this mistake, not much we can do about it, won’t hold it against you! Will be here for any and all ST reactions.
I did the same think when I first started listening to Sleep Token but and I thought Euclid was a beautiful song. Then I listened to the whole trilogy and listened to Euclid at the end and cried. It was still very powerful and I caught all the easter eggs I missed before. I don't feel it spoiled it. ☺
EXCELLENT analysis!! You nailed it! Most extensive and genuine reaction I’ve seen for this song:) I just discovered this song, and it’s been on repeat for days. I am obsessed:) Thank you for your input!!:)
Ooooo...you've got so much good music ahead of you !!!! watch the live performances too !!! This live performance of Vore is one of my favorites. So good. ruclips.net/video/4U8nHYGNyTk/видео.htmlsi=w9dPQKiDeGw4yLPg
When I heard the lyric “do you remember me when the rain gathers, do you still believe that nothing else matters” hit my heart so bad, because my first love, and I met in the rain under really old trees in a park in New Orleans and our song was nothing else matters by Metallica… oh yeah and the “ it’s still the autum leaves, these ancient canopy’s , we used to lay beneath” really hit home
Don't you love those songs that sneak up and stab you in the heart like that ? "November Rain" by Guns N Roses used to stalk me like a serial killer. Thank goodness I don't hear it played much anymore.
This song feels like what the acceptance stage of grief will feel like I’m not there yet, but it gives me a bit of hope as it tears my heart to shreds 😢
For me the parallel between autumn leaves and ancient canopies, it’s about the fact that everything changes, the ancient canopies of tree tops that have been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years still shed their leaves which die and fall down. So even the strongest and oldest of trees which stand tall together are forced to change and move on with life (just my ten cents! 😊)
Both the word "Blacklit" as well as "Canopies" reflect back to his duo group 15 years ago. Enjoying the journey with you, 6 months later.(As you know by now) This last track places a bookend on their back to back triple trifecta concept albums, which starts with "The Night Does Not Belong to God", from the "Sundowning" album. [LF has been a very talented mf'r since forever]. "Marathon" you say? "Sundowning" and then "This Place" would be absolutely fantastic!
This whole song is also call backs to multiple songs, albums, past projects(please no names) It's amazing. It's all amazing. Euclid is geometry, also another version of the same
Vessel sings, just run it back, give me five whole minutes and the remainder of the song goes for fivewhole minutes. There are so many call back to earlier songs in the lyrics. Come back to the song after you have listened to their whole discography. This song is a masterpiece and the first Sleep Token song I heard and I just can’t stop, I am 60 and I am totally hooked.
You're picking up so much that many reactors miss. Vessel is a genius. Theres layers of meaning in every song. Definitely a band you would appreciate and should dive fully into.
Loved hearing you thoughts on this as always! Please check out the video that twenty one pilots just released called 'I Am Clancy' to announce the start of a new era
I get this is a reaction channel, and your breakdown of lyrical content is very good, but with this many pauses I’m not sure how you can fully appreciate a song. It completely kills the moment and emotion of it…..
This is the ending. But it’s hope, it’s the realisation that the end is okay. It’s okay to remember what was, but it’s time, to move forward, time to be someone new. It sounds like joy, but it’s so fucking sad. It’s so fucking beautiful. The callbacks, the journey, the relationship from start to finish. The songwriting is sublime. But the reaction is so far off without hearing the whole story.

Three sides of a triangle maybe :)
@@anthonydiprima9910 Ooooo....Never thought of that.
Once you get through their discography, come back to this one. Song is so much more than it may seem
I would like to see you react to this again after you listen to everything else

Vessel is a fucking poet.
Two more Sleep Token series (at least) are coming in the HOH 😉 Extremely exciting band. I'm glad my 535 series ignited this journey 😊
Looking forward to the marathon
Fil, excellent commentary, bro. This lyrical tornado is out-f*cking-standing.
#QcumberSquad #SleepToken - Fil, I'm off back to the study.
