I been playing guitar for over 20 years..... I have focused totally on tone..inflection...and soul on the guitar. You have down a SUPERB job on this rendition.. Congrats.

Still way better than I could. I'm just learning. This is one of his best tunes along with Valentine by him and Bryan Ferry and Once Upon a Time in the West.
Really great job...all is really close from the original...just one question playing guitar, base ok...but do you learn To play keyboard since long time or like guitar...because when I look at your cover of Tunnel of love Télégraph road...keyboard parts are really difficult...and bravo for your pedal-steel homemade...it sounds great and you use it very well...great job...really

J'ai tenté une reprise "libre" de ce titre avec un ami... passez écouter notre modeste version à l'occasion!

very good, i love all your tributes. Imho the lead guitar deserved a litlle bit more volume, but apart from that perfect! I would love to hear you play where you think you're going . cheers!

Please help me! I'm eating my brain about the guitar used by Mark for recording this track in studio.
I think it should be a hollow body. This video and, most of all, the sound you got, confirm my supposition.
Any information to add? I'd like to be sure. A video... an interview... anything else? Or did you follow just the sound by sensation?

Nope, not originally recorded with a Gretsch or any other hollow body. In fact, I've never seen MK using a Gretsch of any kind in his 40-year long career. In every video you can find of MK playing this song 'live', he is using his custom, solid-body Pensa guitar.

I listen to Mark Knopfler for decades. I'll tell you so. Your version is more interesting. Sorry Mark :)
He did an excelent job for sure. But Mark's guitar playing on this track is just heavenly..
