@@StanChrisStanChris I had a brother that was gay, he married another man at first it was difficult for me because when were younger he took me to a gay bar in Tucson and a guy grabbed my butt. I knocked the guy out with one punch having been in excellent shape at the time. But I still loved my brother. I happen to not be gay, but I do admit I have seen some guys that were really cute!! To show emotion such as hugging is quite fine with me so long as it is done in respect. I realize some guys are into other guys and witnessed this in the jails I worked in during my career with my sheriff's office!! It was much more the officers behaving this way, not the inmates. Of course I am a believer so that says much about this topic!! I am surprised you did not encounter a guy hitting on you, as you very good looking, or the opposite of some guy being offended and going off on you!!

Gay guys are good at "living their life" is 100% the best answer anyone gave.
Also, there's something kinda encouraging about the fact that a lot of the guys don't think a gay man has hit on them. At least when/where i grew up, a LOTTTTT of straight guys assumed that any conversation with a gay man was flirtation.

That actually brought back a good memory for me. When I came out to my dad about 20 years ago, he just asked me one question…“are you happy?” and after I said “yes”, he replied, “that’s all that matters…you’re happy, I’m happy. That’s all a parent wants for their kids.” And the following week, he told me to make sure my boyfriend at the time came to our weekly family dinner…I told him that he was a picky eater, so my dad would call him the night before and ask him what he wanted to eat. I told my dad he didn’t have to fix a special dish for just him, and my dad said, “I do it for your brother’s girlfriend, of course I’m gonna do the same for your boyfriend.”

maybe it's funny for us viewers but honestly, it's not funny for society. these guys are homophobes or toxic because they were brought up that way. and it continues to happen all the time. you can witness it at kindergarten already. every day. it starts with stereotypes and it is imprinted on them again and again. grandparents, aunties, uncles and parents do it all the time. then suddenly in college they are expected to be tolerant and open. doesn't work that way. it needs to start earlier. all religions need to adopt new teachings in this regard or at least everyone should learn these mores and morals from religion should get ignored from an early age.

Most actually arent comfortable with themselves so it shows to others and they probably don't realize internal homophobia is very obvious. Or if they think talking about it openly or being around it, they could "turn gay or become too tempted." Legit straight guys who are comfortable with themselves have no issue answering questions and many will be curious about what its like and not scared to ask a question. Guys who try to act all masculine and get all uncomfortable with gay guys aren't fooling anyone. They find us a threat knowing damn well we can get women easier and doing them a favor by not being with women. If we all gay guys turned to women, straight guys would be screwed. We don't want girls but can get them easily .

Chris, speaking as an older gay man myself, many guys who say they are straight end up doing sexual stuff with other guys but they don’t see that as gay as in “no homo” - being Irish and raised in a conservative Catholic background in Rural Ireland in the 1970’s & 1980’s before moving to Dublin for 3 years, before moving to Manchester U.K. in 2002, I’ve consistently found this to be the case right up to the present day - I have extended family still living in the same Irish village where I grew up and I observe the same things happening with the current generation of young men, even though I’m fully out and proud and I don’t ever hide the fact that I’m gay

I think we can afford them some benefit of the doubt. It could be that they are scared of being made fun of by peers or maybe they think it's controversial with all the lgbtq activism going on around collages these days. It doesn't necessarily mean they are homophobic or have an issue with gays, it could be more self preservation. At the end of the day I don't think it helps going around calling everyone homophobic if they don't conform or say and do what we would like them to. If they aren't going around attacking or being hateful and mean to gay men then their is no reason to assume they are homophobic.
There is real homophbia and discrimination that still goes on in society and in the work place, and if you go around calling everyone homophobic for minor things it begins to lose its meaning and people will start just rolling their eyes when a homosexual person reports real homophobia because people think here we go again another gay person reading homophobia into every little thing. That's my theory on it anyway.

I had that happen to me back in 1979, I punched the guy for touching my butt. I was on military leave and thought for sure police would be talking to me, then my First Sergeant back at my base, however nothing came of it, the guy was out cold!!! Good thing I did not kill him with that punch!!! I would be slower to react that way now, but I am much older now, In my opinion hugging is not gay or sexual unless you are engaged in sex!! I hug many men at my church and I am not here to judge anyone. I hope you stay safe in your videos, bound to meet a guy that was like me at age 22, I was a jerk then!!! Funny what age and wisdom do to a man or woman!!!

I think the dad's response was a bit off in the begging not because he would have had a problem with it but because he didn't really believe it. It was clear by the end that they love eachother very much and dad knew his son very well. His resistance wasn't to the gayness but to that if it were true then he would have had a totally broken view of the world and his son for 10+ years. You try being confronted with some information that turns your worldview upside down and you'll know. Dude was so damn straight if I had a son like this I wouldn't believe him either at first. Cause if it were true how could I have missed that....
