Nostalgic. I grew up with both MK Wii and crappy VHS recordings to watch movies and old TV specials. I don’t understand why so many people think analog recordings like this are scary

That was because the tape stuck to itself around the capstan, indicating it was exposed to sunlight and/or moisture. if you take care of your VHS cassettes and the VCR, that should never happen (I've personally never had that happen even growing up in the late '80s and '90s).

My VCR is newer than my Wii. Though I'm unsure of it's capability to capture good footage, as it has sat in a humid basement for the past fifteen years or so, it will probably come out looking crystal clear.
The sound in this is very bassy compared to the more flat sounding direct to capture card or recorded to DVD videos around the time of this game's release.
its not weird that people thought that video games before looked real when the video quality to absolutely everything had the same style
It feels so weird seeing a game that isn't made before 2002 recorded on a tape but at the same time it's kinda calming because it's on a tape
Play the Disney bumpers and you’ll feel at home

that would be funny to watch
A lost recording or a dead civilization. This vhs is all that remains of the quaint video game series "Mario Kart".

Too much analog horror uses old VHS footage and too many jumpscares instead of actually trying to be scary.
