Plan A, but find a larger waterfall where everyone can practice sanchin.
The beach idea is good too, good practice for performing three step-forward zenkutsu-dachi oitsukis, and kibadachi punches.

One good reason for the Zen environment is focus things like modern texting and cell distract from that i think it would be good to have a traditional Zen meditation teacher in Japan start a Karate retreat i think its one of the most important parts missing in American Karate schools!
