    Random fact about the atomic bombs dropped on Japan!
    The intense heat radiation I believe it was from their detonation actually scorched showdowns onto the ground and walls of things caught in the blast. It is entirely possible that, as survivors walked the area, they saw shadows of humans no longer living and of buildings that were no longer there.

    There was actually a dude who survived both bombs.
    He worked in Hiroshima 2miles from the nuke and had enough time to jump in a ditch and save himself from the shockwave. Then in a meeting in Nagasaki he told them about the bomb and as he talked of it the nuke dropped on the city and he dropped to the floor to save himself from the shock wave again. The hilly landscape and metal stairway protected him even more he did get with the cancer radiation again though. Luckily his wife and kid had survived to. His wife was buying burn ointment for him and taken refugee in a tunnel. So if he had died in Hiroshima his family should’ve of died in Nagasaki. Years later he somehow recovered from the radiation and died in 2009 at 93.
    Technically there were 165 others who survived but he is the was the only one by the government as a nijyuu hibakusha or a twice-bombed person.

    What people forget is firebombing did more damage and killed more people than the nukes did. That aside, there would have been more death and destruction had the US staged an invasion on the mainland, as shown by the death tolls during the US island hopping. The Japanese people had a stigma against surrender and would fight to the bitter end. Even after the two nukes were dropped, the Japanese still wanted to fight.

      😢(и это не критика, это исключительно моё мнение).И да, я патриотка!❤
      А Американцы помогали Японии, потому что, хотели казаться хорошими и добрыми, а зачем же тогда они сами её и уничтожали? 🤔🤨🧐

    The way I look at the nuke drops is that if we went with the original plan of doing a land invasion, alot more lives would've been lost and I mean *ALOT* more would've been lost, due to how Japan worked at the time the US would've had to fight both civilians and soldiers which would've been a way worse sight than what the nukes could ever do. The situation could've been way worse. Still innocent lives were lost due to their governments doing by not surrendering and joining the axis side committing crimes against humanity in china.

    • @davideilvideogiocatore3431
      @davideilvideogiocatore3431 4 месяца назад

      You trippin... Us started this beef with Japan, by blocking their means to get raw materials. After that, Japan had to get them, so they went to war with China. Them joining the Axis also doesn't seem much tbh, they are on the other side of the globe. They also had to attack Pearl, cause, if they didn't, then they would have lost rapidly. The Us had a staggering advantage in numbers, quantity AND quality. Also, fresh soldiers and a great geographic position. They did commit war crimes, but you can find them in every war. It's horrible how they treated the chinese people, but it's not as if they are the only ones to have ever committed those.

    • @albertthompson5808
      @albertthompson5808 4 месяца назад +1

      The war crimes committed by the Japanese in WW2 were the same kind that the Angel of Death in Nazi Germany did. They actively tried to create biological weapons to use against civilians in regions they already controlled. They also attempted to reintroduce Small Pox and The Black Death into the world. Their atrocities may have been smaller in scale but they were equal in their monstrous nature.
      Also, the very idea that you would try to dismiss the fact that they started their war and that they put themselves in the that situation in the first place, all on the grounds that the US stopped giving them oil so they "had" to attack the US is absurd.
      They committed horrific atrocities even before they were cut off.
      I'm not saying the Allies didn't commit atrocities, too. But just because war crimes are a common occurrence in war does not make any single such crime excusable.

    • @davideilvideogiocatore3431
      @davideilvideogiocatore3431 4 месяца назад

      @@albertthompson5808 what you said is all true. However, who started this was the Us, they came to Japan and started making negotiations, everything in their own, for their benefit. This in an Japan that was isolating himself. They got introduced to the new things of the world and to not fall behind they started to observe and reach up to the more advanced countries. By the time they started the war with China they were near to collapse economically wise. They really needed raw materials. Also, the nuclear bombs weren't necessary, because they already were at their knees, considerating giving up. They already received the attack on Tokyo, that destroyed 1/3 of the entire city and the Urss were getting near the Hokkaido. They officially gave up some days before the Urss reached the borders of Hokkaido. The only reason that they didn't surrender before that was because the Us didn't make clear of what would happen to the emperor. History wise and culturally wise the emperor was the entire country, for they believe that the first emperor was a demi-god. The Us president at the time really didn't make clear of that (he knew that by the way he asked them to surrender, they really wouldn't, for the emperor rappresents their country and everyone living there). But i guess that it's the past right now, just like Germany, Japan got great relations with former enemies. Not every country that they went to war with, but at least the Us ign

    • @albertthompson5808
      @albertthompson5808 4 месяца назад +1

      @davideilvideogiocatore3431 I will be honest, I had not thought that you were talking about that situation, and only realized you were after the fact. For that, I will apologize. However, Japan was going to be dragged out of its isolationism eventually, anyway.
      Furthermore, the treatment of the Japanese and those of Japanese descent in the US was abhorrent. But at the end of the day, that does not change the horrors of war; Japan at the time was behaving the same as any other hopeful colonial power of their own volition. They were deeply racist and being forced to interact with the rest of the world, even to such a severe disadvantage, does not excuse the atrocities they committed. This also doesn't excuse the US for dropping the first nuke either, the fact that the Japanese refused to surrender even after the first bomb in sheer insanity. That insanity should shoe how many of the civilian population would have fought back and died in an invasion on homeland Japan. The US chose to safeguard their own soldiers rather than sending them to die invading Japan. That is the natural course of action for any nation and something the Japanese would have done happily if they were the ones with the nukes.

      @@albertthompson5808 yeah, the japanese did a lot of terrifing things, i'm not going to defend that. My country also did quite the damage (i'm italian btw), so i got nothing to say on that regard. Them not stopping at the first direct attack on their country is all nationa pride and the desire to be seen as a primary country, someone to be feared. I'm quite sure that if the Urss managed to get to the Hokkaido (case where the Japs don't surrender), then they would have given everything to stop the soviets. They kept tgeir superiority dogmas for quite some time huh

    Japan itself was to blame, there was nothing to declare war on, and the Americans may not have known about such consequences, of course they assumed that there would be destruction and loss of life, but whatever it was, they did not assume it, but tested the atomic bomb on Japan because they had a war with the Japanese and where not to test a bomb in any country and also to inflict damage to this country and increase the chances of its surrender , so you don 't drive bottles at America , the Japanese are to blame

    • @davideilvideogiocatore3431
      @davideilvideogiocatore3431 4 месяца назад

      This is the 3rd time that i say this. Japan DID have some beef with Us, for they came to them put them in a condition where they couldn't get raw materials, like oil or iron. There wasn't enough in Japan, so they decided to go to war with China just to get it. The problem is, where they could get what they desired? The Philippines was the solution! But, who had them at that time? The Us! They raised the price of the raw materials, that became really important at that time. You can fault them for the war crimes, but i honestly don't think that what they did at Pearl was just because. They knew beforehand that they would be wrecked by the Us navy if they went with everything.

    BAD GRAMMAR. I mostly use google translate
    I think the atomic bomb wasn't the reason JE surrender.I think was because of Soviet invasion of Manchuria.
    Ward Wilson's views on the reasons for Japan's surrender (i will only choose some):
    -At that time, the world don't even know the definition of "atomic bomb". In fact, Japan had intended to surrender before being bombed by the United States.
    -The destruction caused by the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima wasn't greater than normal US bombings of Japan. JE at that time had no knowledge of the atomic bomb, especially its power.
    -Therefore, the meeting of the Imperial Japanese Supreme Council on the bombing of Hiroshima was canceled, proving that Council members did not consider this bombing more serious than previous ones.

    Search:

    -"Did Nuclear Weapons Cause Japan to Surrender?"
