- Rishikesh is one of my most favourite places to be at and the last time I was there, I had a chance to go Whitewater Rafting in Rishikesh on the Holy Ganges.
I went rafting from Shivpuri all the way to the NIM Beach in Rishikesh for a span of about 16 kilometres which took us approximately 3-4 hours.
You can spot me on the left front of the raft as the Raft Leader.
We started off well and yes, there were scary rapids up there and we almost fell off the raft because of imbalance but thanks to the experience of our Guide, we were just fine.
In my opinion, rafting in Rishikesh can be a beautiful experience for firt timers.
River Rafting in Rishikesh is an activity involving a team of rafters guiding their boat through the highs and lows or Rapids in a River.
This team usually includes a Guide (who sits on the middle at the back), two raft leaders (on left and right side), and fellow rafters on both the sides to balance the raft.
Each of grade of rapids have their own level of difficulty and we did it on Grade 3+ rapids that included Clubhouse, Rollercoaster etc.
