In 2:11 I love how Clarke tells Bellamy that she let her heart rule her head to protect Madi and he understands her, because that's what he used to do with Octavia.
So this moment is totally "the heart and the head" thing
S6 confirms this even more when Bellamy says he knows what it's like to risk everything for one person.
And then Clarke had to use her head and pretend to be josephine, without putting Madi as her first priority, because she had to "do better"

Everyone hated Clarke in s5 but I really liked momma Clarke better than I did in her Early season

These two really show that love can be both a weakness and a strength. It's Clarke's love for Madi that blinds her in Season 5, prioritizing Madi's safety over her other friends and family members (namely Bellamy). In Season 6, Madi's love for Clarke makes her succumb to Sheidheda to get revenge on the Primes for killing her.
But it is also love that saves them. Madi's love for Clarke is what allows Madi to break free from Sheidheda's grasp and ultimately take Russell prisoner. And it's Clarke's love for Madi that ultimately makes her see that being on McCreary's side of the Shallow Valley war is the wrong move.
What if it was the Lexa in Maddie that bonds their love for each other so much 🤔

They had so many chances to show Lexa again in this season. In the mind space sitting on that throne to protect the Emp memory, or in the Flame, helping bring Madi back from the Darkness
Lexa is the most brought back dead character by far!! Lincoln was such a major character and he wasn't mentioned for 2 seasons! Finn was a much more truamatic death for Clarke then Lexa's and hasn't been mentioned in over 3 seasons!!!! GIVE IT UP

This is the most beautiful representation that I've seen of the best relationship on the show. I could watch this over and over again because it perfectly shows the genuine love and devotion Clarke and Madi have for one another as mother and daughter. I absolutely loved it.

I agree. Especially considering that Clarke ended up being right in Season 6 about the Flame. Yet nobody on the show seems to bring that up. Almost everybody on the show seems to forget that she once had the Flame in her head (City of Light). Not to mention her tragic experience with Lexa. She knows and understands more about the Flame and what it does to it's host then any of Spacekru.

Y'all there is no way in freaking hell Madi chose to stay as a freaking glowing ball of light in God knows where as opposed to going to live with HER MOTHER and HER FAMILY. I would have been okay with that ending and all its messiness EXCEPT FOR THE PART WHERE MADI DOESN'T JOIN HER MOM YOU MEAN TO TELL ME CLARKE KILLED HER BEST FRIEND AND LOST HER DAUGHTER THEN HAD A CHANCE TO GET HER BACK AND THEN THAT DAUGHTER PASSED ON IT? THE SAME DAUGHTER WHO LITERALLY WOULDN'T LEAVE HER PARALYZED BODY JUST BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE HER MOM ALONE AND ONLY LEFT WHEN CLARKE GAVE HER HER BLESSING???? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

I think the only way her staying away would make sense is if Madi is trying to convince the kids and everyone else that Transcendance ain't worth it. After all, you don't ease pain, you overcome it. To live one life in peace then survive for eternity ("Life is about more than just surviving"). Madi knows Clarke wouldn't want her to return and live her life with a bunch of adults and not with kids her own age. If she succeeds, both problems get solved and Madi gets to spit in the Judge's face for condemning her mother.
That's my take anyway.
@@jimbotron4749 well there’s that one kid (forgot his name. Aden? Adrian?) who was raised as a child of Gabriel and he had his whole family massacred in front of him. That kid was raised on the belief that “Death is Life” she could convince him to come down. And she lived as the only kid around for 6 years during the Eden period between seasons four and five, living a life with your family where the youngest person is about 8 years older than you doesn’t sound that horrible if it means spending it with people she actually knows.
Madi should have gone down to Clarke and that’s the hill I’m willing to die on 😂😂😂

I haven't watched"100" all 3 years (after Lexy had vowed not to even think about the show), but then I saw Maddie...It's just "Lexa" with Clarke's eyes, and, impossible as it may be, so hope for the legendary "surprise" that Lexa will come back, that she and Clarke will raise their little Heda.That would be fantastic!!!!
Dont get me wrong, I love Madi and her character but the introduction of her really fked up Clarke's character. Madi essentially turned Clarke into Abby and thus Clarke did all the things she didnt want her mother doing
But that was important for the story line to move forward. If you think about it, the whole show sort of demonstrates humanity and how humans react or survive depending on the situation they are in. The whole point of making Clarke a mother and “turning into Abby” was so that we could see a different perspective and understand Clarke and abbys character more. I didn’t like Abby too much when I first watched the show. But after I saw season 5 and saw Clarke “turning into Abby” to protect Madi, I then loved Abby because I could now understand why she did what she did. Like I said, the whole point of the show is showing different perspectives to humanity, survival and people’s interests. For example at the begging of the show it was the 100 who were invading the grounders homes. But then in season 5 it was the prisoners invading the 100s home. Another example would be when the mountain men tried to kill the 100. We hated the mountain men then. But then later on Clarke and Abby did the same thing to a random grounder and harvested his bone marrow and we were able to understand why they did it whereas before hand, when the mountain men were the ones doing it we could understand them as much. The whole point of all of that was so that the story line could not only move forward rather than having Clarke having no development, but to also make the people watching the show think and relate back to previous events that have happened in the show that were fairly similar which we may have disliked then but now we are able to understand because we see it through the main characters point of view rather than the villains.
