Hi, Ι am 23 years old and I have a small curve at my lower thoracic spine(concave to the right and rotation to the left) that had been measured 9 degrees when I was 15/16. I haven't had my curve measured since but it looks and feels the same. My problem is that I feel a limitation when I try to breath deeply using only my diaphragm. I had visited an orthopaedic doctor and some time later a physical therapist because I had back and hip pain at the time. They both told me that what I had isn’t really a big deal and that basically I should just exercise to keep a good posture. The physical therapist had said that I could take part in whatever sport or fitness activity I like. None of them had mentioned anything about breathing limitations. During these years I’ve played sports at times without problems, but currently I don’t feel comfortable when I try to exercise. My spine is however flexible in all movements and I rarely have musculoskeletal pains. What excercise do you recommend? Thank you

I know this is late and no one may ever see this comment but I will try anyway.
At the age of 11 I noticed back pain. My fathers side are all tall but I grew 4 inches in a year or 18 months. By 12 I was in a brace. I have a double curve, shaped like an "s" and the curve degrees I do not remember but were very high. I spent a birthday at the hospital fixing my brace. I was given some stretches etc but was told it would never get better, and hopefully not worse with the exception of time and age.
Chrirpractors did not give much relief. Massage therapists gave more as they went from each segment on my spine pressing in. It hurt but the two areas of my back that are worse hurt so much the first two times the massage therapist went over them each session my eyes would water and I would jerk in pain. I was 25+ not a child. Each area between my rib cage was done 5 times. Then done again. By the end it felt much better but still painful. That night as per usual I was swollen and red and very sore. Two days later I would get 3-6 days of a loose feeling in my back like never before.
It has been 2 years or maybe 3 since I went. I lay down most nights on flat wooden floors and relax until my back stops shaking from pain, then I move my legs, arms, take big breath fulls, etc to further stretch. I even use smaller blankets and wrap them up and mimic where they were on my brace, however the bottom side has seemed to change painwise. I was told by doctors my right lung is out of place and is what causes the large bump when I bend over.
Aside from massage therapy and lying on my floor to relieve the pain, do I have options. I am 33 now.

I must mention I was offered a metal pole but they said there was a risk that could happen afterwards. I was 11, it was 1998 and I live in eastern canada. At the time and at my age the brace seemed much better. I do not hobble around or bend but my shoulders are noticeably different heights. I am over weight but when I lose weight the bump pokes out more clearly. By overweight I mean I can easily walk, swim etc.

Erik, you mentioned in one your videos i purchased that most people have a inferior left psis. Is that due to right handedness or organ position or what? Can you explain in detail?
    Thank you.

Hello, I am 18 and I started having back pain at 15/16 years of age. I was told by doctor that I have scoliosis, but I've been told a lot of things. I've seen a chiropractor. Not helpful at all. I've been to PT. Somewhat helpful. I've been told to change my diet so I am g free now. I got an MRI done and in my low back it showed I have herniated discs. Doc said best option would be an injection, surgery or PT. I didn't want surgery done since I am still young and an injection won't solve the problem. I went with PT, but I'm not sure what to do now. What do u suggest?

Hi. Just saw this video. I am from India. I have acute scoliosis since I was 13. I am 55 now. This scoliosis has pushed my left ribs out of shape in the backside. It was not much of an issue but since last few years my pain has increased. Can you suggest some remedy. My height is 5 feet 6 inches.
