❗️❗️❗️85% of parrots are either resold, given away, or abandoned within just 2 short years of being purchased. ADOPT DONT SHOP! Rescues are full of these wonderful birds, neglected, abandoned, and thrown out by inexperienced and most uneducated people that didn't know the kind of work and commitment it takes to have birds. STOP UNNECESSARY BIRD BREEDING FOR PROFIT, and help these magnificent creatures.
If you are unable to adopt then please consider donating to a rescue/sanctuary that volunteers their time to help these animals in need. 💚
I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they've seen in other birds. ❗️No two parrots are alike...
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
So if you are interested in a parrot, please research, volunteer at a parrot rescue/sanctuary, KNOW what you're getting yourself into before you take on the work that comes with loving and homing a parrot.
Parrots are a LIFETIME commitment. They can live up to 80+ years!!
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots the best life they can possibly have! (Night out, gone on weekends, vacation time, a clean quiet house, extra money.. Etc.)
But to me it's all worth it, my parrots are my family and I love them like my children!
Please DO YOUR RESEARCH before adopting.
After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies...
They only have us💗❗️❗️

I lost my dog the day before Thanksgiving this makes 2 Year’s in a row I have lost one of my fur babies before Thanksgiving.
I recently come across Gotcha and Letty and have fallen in love with them.
They ease the pain on days where I miss my fur babies.

It's great that you show how amazing, funny, and cute cockatoos are, as well as making sure everyone knows that they need special care and are more expensive (even after you've paid to own them) than most pets so that viewers don't give the unfair fate that so many innocent, undeserving birds suffer.

This is the happiest ( and best taken care of ) bird in ALL of RUclips.....Gotcha's Mom(Katie) makes taking care of Cockatoos seem so effortless....although everyone knows just how much care, time and love Katie spends taking care of Gotcha, Letty, and the other animals...It's amazing what a great job she does !

Birds are great to the extent that most people don't even realize. I have a 27 year old African Grey was about a 350 word vocabulary who tells you good morning and good night and when he wants to go to bed.
He'll tell you that he wants Pizza and all his favorite things. They make any day I'm about to better day no matter how bad it possibly could be. A gift from God!

My job is very physically & mentally exhausting. I watch Gotcha in my car on my breaks & he just makes me laugh, releasing so much stress. My coworkers see me laughing at “some weird gibberish” in my car so many times. I’ve started showing them the videos, so they don’t think I’m a crazy person just randomly laughing in my car. Now it’s a thing we do at breaks. Gather around my phone & watch Gotcha videos. He’s our work therapy bird :)
