Aww! You found one of my first videos! :D haha I went back and watched the beginning of it now because of your comment and I sound so shy and timid! hahah. I love modding decks and making them my own. And I had such an immense help from your trimming videos, love them so much!
What a wonderful video, thank you for sharing! I really like the edging you did to the Seed and Sickle, I haven’t yet decided how to edge my copy. I was at a bookstore yesterday and was thinking of purchasing those same Faber-Castell markers you have been using - but for some reason I thought I already have enough markers and did not buy them. And now I just want to kick myself! And the Gaian tarot, I actually prefer my trimmed Schiffer edition to my Llewellyn edition (french). For some reason, in this deck I prefer the sturdier cardstock that the Schiffer edition has. And once I removed the horrid blue borders, it looks so beautiful.
Thank you Inka! 🥰 I finally got the Gaian tarot in the post yesterday and I started trimming it straight away! You are right the cardstock is really not that bad at all and now I have it trimmed I love it so much! Also, not to be a devil on your shoulder or anything but, you should definitely get tose faber-castell highlighters! They have quickly become my favourite way to edge my decks! They are so easy to use! One tip though, it’s best when edging with them to draw your line on the edge quite quickly and then let it dry before going over with another coat. I’ve noticed that they are pretty wet and some cardstock likes to soak it up and tend to get a bit mushy if you hold the marker on the edge in the same place for too long.
This was fun to watch! I think you did a better job than mine with the Druid craft .. my backs aren’t that clean because I didn’t fully trim the 2nd boarder .. I edge many of my decks in colours so my druid has a brown edging which I went over with some gold shimmer. Edging a deck is something very important in my learning process. I do it usually after learning the deck as a sealing my connection ceremony type of ritual. I love those metallic faber castell highlighters .. they actually look so well and I went and look. Such a neat finish
Thank you! I love your way of looking at the edging process! 💛 I would do the same except I usually want to mod my decks before I start working with them, especially if they are too big for my hands… although I suppose I could trim them and then edge them after a while 😊 The druidcraft was a bit of a tricky one to trim… but I do like the way it turned out!
I loved seeing all your Mods I to like to edge my decks and personalize them … but I must say your bags are absolutely gorgeous I was so impressed by them all 😍 Do you sell your bags? If so please let me know!!! The bag with the Llewellyn deck couldn’t have been a better match and the snap bags just perfect!!!!🥰
Aw thank you so much! I haven’t ever thought about making bags to sell, there’s always some little imperfection on them 😅 I do have a video where I show all of the different bags I’ve made as well, thought I’d mention it in case you’d be interested ☺️Thank again for watching and for your kind words 🙏🧡
I just found your channel through the "adorable decks" tag" and am enchanted !! 😍 Your mod with the Tarot of the Magical Forest looks amazing ! I'm seriously thinking about going for it too. If I may ask, how coarse do the borders get once trimmed ?
Hi Ana! So happy that you found my little corner or RUclips! The edges are very smooth after trimming with my little Fiskars paper trimmer. I really do adore this deck so much after the trim! 💕
I think a salmon, coral color would be really pretty on the spacious tarot. I'm a little biased cuz that's one of my favorite colors 😅 be careful though, I ordered a prawn color copic marker to edge my Forhaxa and it turned out like a brick red, when the cap is a bright color 🙁
Hi Micha! ✨☺️ I am leaning towards that salmon coral color, I do think it would look really pretty! Oh no! Had you already started edging when you noticed?
@@ExploringTarot Yeah, MJ culline's, forget the spelling on the name, decks never come with extra title cards so Yeah I didn't find out until I started. It doesn't look bad, it looks like the dark rust color on the backs more than the coral I wanted
I don’t know how I missed this video, but I loved seeing all your deck mods! They all turned out so beautiful. 💚
