It's not the best item right now as it is not game-changing in any situation. Assasins usually have ability-damage so they don't care about the ATK speed reduction, tanks set-up, mages don't attack, fighters use skills (some attack). There are some items that are extremely unfair though, one of them is Windtalker often built by Marksmen as ANY other role would not benefit from any of its stats besides one, the movement speed. Giving +25 might not sound as much, till you realize other items give movement speed by percentage, not raw movement speed, do the maths and in the end the heroes with unfair movement speed are marksmen. It is not unfair you might argue? well, what would happen if we give that +25 raw movement speed to every other role within their core items? Martis running at you as a Formula 1 Car, doesn't sound as fun now, huh.

And in league it is only 40% and you have to be atleast lower than 50% hp to trigger lets say your has a shield of 2000 it is reduced to 1000 immediately. Not to mention it counter one of the also broken item in game the Oasis. You not taking dominance is always a guaranteed loss against all fighters and supports.

Yep no doubt.I always put that armour ever since 2018.Back then most of I guess 65 to 70 % of mm players did insert critical builds that's why dominiance of ice was kinda essential.Also its movement speed reduction.Whenever I pick I'd never insert immortal even back since to this day coz its useless and lack stats which makes is awful unless it has passive immortal.
Its so good because the meta heroes relies heavily in spell vamp or any item regeneration like ruby, thamuz, yu zhong, alpha, natan, argus, zilong and etc.
Though we may agree or disagree on that “Best Item” part, we must admit that we are 100% defeat if the tank chooses cursed helmet rather than dominance ice for his first full item. Just hope to see these kinds of S5 tank users lesser than now.
People gonna bash me for this but Dominance Ice is the _worst_ tank item in the game. If you wanna deal with fighters & marksman build cuirass, it gives better stats and works against more heroes, and surprise, attack reduction also affects enemy lifesteal and damage.
By that logic, boots are also broken. But they arent, theyre just meta. Something can be meta without being broken. Antiheal is meta is every single moba, not just ML. You also need to realize why you assume dominance is broken, its actually because lifesteal is broken, and dominance is required to counter it. If lifesteal wasnt so broken, nobody would buy dominance. As a roam main with over 8k tank matches and 35k+ matches of moba total, dominance is not an item i would prefer to buy 1st. It's not broken, its bad. The ONLY reason youre forced to buy it is because you must counter enemy lifestealing heroes before they snowball into the mid/late game. Other than that necessity, the item itself is horrible. 500 mana? Who cares. Literally a useless stat, esp on a meta roamer like mino right now. Feels terrible being forced to buy it first item. Replace the 500 mana with 300-400 hp, and it wont suck so bad.

Dominance ice is an annoying item to build. If enemies have true dmg dealers like lesley then since dominance ice doesnt give any hp, its kinda useless. And as for hp regen lowering, the range is kinda short. Its very situational item.
If we are speaking about attack speed then In my opinion dominance ice wont matter late game since marksmen can literally 1 hit despite the 70% atk speed reduction. And it will be even a nightmare if they have malefic. Its a good early/mid game item sure.
That's very insightful, man. And very true! Tbh, marksmen own the late game which is why you'd get more mileage out of Dominance Ice the earlier you get it. And I'm afraid mms will only get stronger with the recent updates to the attack animation. I sure hope that Moonton keeps things in check to make sure the game is still balanced.

No. If you want The Eternal Guard to last longer and be stronger (it has big hp), you must focus your build to magic power, more magic power in your build more stronger it becomes. Vexana is a poke/control type hero, so play him on the back line behind fighter or tank heroes just like mages in general. Poke/control also mean you don't have to focus on looking for kill, it's better to use her ultimatr to clear lane, to stop enemies' siege, and to zoning enemies while fighting for turtle/lord. Use also her Eternal Guard to support your fighters when they're attacking enemies. Just activate it as soon as possible, no need to search for kill. Use emblem and boots that increase movement so you can support or escape faster. I also use Weakness Finder so my basic attack will slow down the enemies when they're attacking/chasing me. My build is focused on cooldown reduction so I can spam Vexana's Ultimate.
This item isn't nearly as strong as it used to be. They nerfed dominance ice. Its unique effects (slower attack speed and anti-heal) will only work when your enemies hit you with an attack. It used to be better because the unique effects worked on enemies that were a certain distance from you. To put it simply, you only had to be close to your enemies to make dominance ice work. Now, you have to get hit for it to work. Enemies can choose not to hit you at all so dominance ice won't work on them.
@@ramasyaks6077 Because I'm a Baxia main, I really have to use Dominance Ice. It's still effective against marksmen who use inspire/haas claws or fighters with inspire/war axe. The problem is against support that can heal their teammates. I only reduce their healing a bit if they don't hit me. So I have no choice but to build Glowing Wand. It's one more item slot for the same purpose as Dominance Ice.
