Snow White is kind,Shes also very resilient and a survivor. No matter how hard things are for her she doesn't complain or give up. She keeps trying and she's always kind to others despite her situation. Yes,once she sees the prince while she's at the well she's one of those love at 1st sight girls but once she is at the dwarfs house her wish to see him again is the true love thing. As far as the " modern " version I don't know if they cut it but there was a leaked scene where she orders the dwarves around after breaking into the dwarves house makes them clean the house while she dances around singing whistle while you work instead of being grateful for a place to stay and offering to clean/ cook to stay there,it's like expecting something for nothing. Fairest of them all meaning a leader. Stupid and doesn't make sense. The Queen already is THE leader. Why should she be jealous of that?
