Not all people who were there were entitled college students and rich kids. Most were average youngsters who thumbed rides or drove there in average cheap cars with little money in their jeans. And many guys went to Vietnam after Woodstock once they got drafted! It wasn't a show for the rich and certainly not for half million! And not all of them were hippies either. Hippies were society drop outs who sold drugs for their money. Just look at the footage and you'll see most of them were wearing every day clothes like tshirts jeans sandals and running shoes. Head bands and beads were everywhere because they wanted to take on the hippy look as a sign of rebellion! This event was only meant to happen once and everyone there hàd a strong feeling about being there! But it was an incredible moment that made history!
