@shane lauer that's ridiculous lol knotfest and ozzfest 04 I went to was majority white and there were a ton of topless women there it wasn't considered racist or sexist. Your comment is hilarious though 😂😂😂😂
Actually, no it wouldn't. Music festivals over 100k people are normal each summer. They have gotten pretty good at running them these days. Most festivals are better today than then because we know how to do it now. But this is historic because it showed people it COULD be done...and still is every year. Bonnaroo, Coachela, Burning Man, etc.
history in the making, the heydays of music...the party of a lifetime...feels great just to catch a gllimpse of the event and to experience something like that.. dream for a lifetime..long live rock n roll
There will be no more a moment like that! Peace, love and the best of rock'n roll! It looks like a kind of magic ! I love the hippies and their dream of a better world! A dead dream...
Greatist , most influential rock guitarist . Rock . Not the greatist jazz , country , classical ect. That being said , Jimmy was a bad boy ! Set the bar for everyone in R&R
Please take the time to read: our generation today my youthful generation has the power and mentality to enter this era once again , we've been at a war for years 12 to be exact and for what? We are in the perfect time to come together and love and stop this on going war . History tends to repeat itself and with our generation today you see we are more open to religion, sex, race, and drugs just like the 60s the marijuanamovement has just begun and its about time we come together for peace n love
3:45 - "There is some debate about its place on history books..." Um, no. There is NO debate. The mere fact that this Mojo video clip was made about an event a half-century ago is proof of its importance to history.
i don't know how you feel about what went on at woodstock 69 but that was a awesome, awesome event. there could have been as many as a half million fans whose intent was to get high on drugs, alcohol and music and share peace...gone but not forgotten.
It was a completely different time and age. It can never be recreated. That’s the beauty of it. You can name a horse winner but he’s not going to win but once
I wish I was alive during that period of time; It would've been amazing to be @ Woodstock and witness all these amazing artists. Too bad I was born in '93 :|
I wish i could of been there...nothing like that will ever be done again. And if they do, it wont even be comparable because of the artists of our generation. Our souls wouldn't be drifted away like in that time.
Its amazing cause despite all the horrible conditions if woodstock everyone was having fun no fights no arguments just peace and love although there was unsanitary conditions and a food shortage and drugs everywhere but i feel that the drugs only added to the peace every year they had a woodstock Festival but they were never as crazy and amazing as this one ive never been into woodstock really cause i just thought it was a concert where a whole bunch of hippies listen to music but its more than that
An awful lot of WRONG information in this. There were no births at the festival, 2 deaths (not a few), The site was moved because the townspeople of Wallkill were dead set against it, the people of Bethel weren't against it, the plan was for a small festival of 50K (not 150k-200k) people, it was essentially a free concert from the moment people showed up before the gates opened then the fences were erected and trampled by people, not cut by the promoters. There's more, but I'm tired of typing. Way to spread misinformation mojo!
+ David Bowline, Right on Bro. This guy is so full of bull. I don't read many of his posts unless I am looking for a good laugh. He's just another one of these You Tuber-Wanna-Bees that want's to become popular with his videos. The thing is? He is going about it ass back wards. He should just tell the truth. Us people who read RUclips are use to ALL THE LIES, because that is really what RUclips represents. It's nice to read something that is the truth for a change. I guess if there is one thing that really burns my oil, it is? He comes on to people like he is some sort of musical expert. Well I been in many, many, bands. Most of them were not that great. Although,,There were a couple of bands I was in, that made it,, but, myself and other members, in the bands ended up leaving do to certain expectations from the producers in Hollywood..Also the insane demands they set for you, (WHICH I CAN'T SAY) when you don't have a say-so one way or another. It's a hard, life, and rough road. Do to the safety of myself and my family, I cannot reveal any names or names of the bands. I can say this though. No one even has a clue what a band has to go through if you want to make it big. This guy who does these videos certainly don't have a clue. NOT EVEN A FREAKEN CLUE. Good Post David....
El evento musical mas grande de la historia musical y encuentros pacificos de jovenes en esa època los famosos 60`s los Hippies PAZ Y AMOR, for ever....
even if this happened again, none of the bands today could even compare to acts like the who or jimi hendrix. also, the woodstock was about peace and love. these were different people back then. now if there was a woodstock it would probs be like infiltrated with try-hard indie kids or lads, just as an opertunity to smoke up. also there would be alot more violence and people would get hurt. this gerenation are pretty much idiots. also like all the best bands are either dead or really really old

@nastakooza considering how many attended, with all the drug usage and lack of water , toilets , food, remember this was the 60's , no cell phones , bottled water didn't exist, and the crowd was huge
Por lo visto, caotico pero espectacular, uno de los eventos musicales mas importantes de la historia.... hasta dos partos hubo entre todo ese desnalgue
those 2 kids who were born at woodstock are lucky.... i wish i was a teenager during this time, the music and the people were genuinely awesome, instead i have to be a teenager in the time of tools and lady ga whateverhername is, *sigh* maybe there will be another counterculture movement like this one soon * fingers crossed*
@TheGrownUpAdult. yeah, that means that footage was released in 1999 on a video or DVD called "Jimi Hendrix: Live at Woodstock" it's probably just a DVD of the entire set Hendrix did, nothing else. no other bands, just his part. you see now?
0:09 The hippie with the bandana playing the guitar is Country Joe McDonald. He went there that day just to check it out and see the party. Him and his band Country Joe & The Fish were to play the next day. The people in charge of the music acts needed someone to fill in for a person who was presumably stuck in traffic. They found Joe and asked if he could be that man. He didnt have his own guitar, so they gave him someone elses that only had a string as a sling. He got tossed on stage and BOOM!
@GalacticApple You are so right! My generation enjoyed the dance music of the late 80's & nineties. It was like the 2nd 60's but the Music & generation today is flat & very boring with their manufactured R&B with White girls sticking their buts in grow bags so they can emulate black Women. It's a very sad time in the History for young people! I'm glad I grew up when I did!
lucky lucky lucky ppl wish i could of been there but i wasnt born yet , lol still had a couple of years before that happened haha , but wow i wished i was one of the 2 births that had happened there ! can u imagine the story u would have an how u would be one of the woodstock babys woohooo amazing ;} love an peace my ppl
@worldskater31 Yep youre on the right track......... For once, in this case, the hype was overwhelmed by the reality. All the great happenings occur by accident. If it broke the backers bank accounts to stage Woodstock, then it was a small price to pay for creating a genuine and natural historic moment. There was no choreography here.....
LET'S FINALLY DO ANOTHER WOODSTOCK WATCH MOJO LIST. 10 BANDS, THAT TURNED DOWN PLAYING AT WOODSTOCK FOR the MOST RIDICULOUS REASONS - HOW ENTERTAINING WOULD SUCH A LIST BE!!! BY DANIEL PRESBERGER KEEP SUPPORTING TIL THE LIST IS DONE.. PLEASEEEEEE, WATCH MOJO :D
Mayby it would be made into a 3D Movie someday.Perhaps in the Year 2019.Or mayby they would have a Holographic version of it in the year 2069.By that time, animated Holograms should be perfected.
It’s so sad cause a Woodstock today would probably get shot up or something😢😢
@shane lauer that's ridiculous lol knotfest and ozzfest 04 I went to was majority white and there were a ton of topless women there it wasn't considered racist or sexist. Your comment is hilarious though 😂😂😂😂
shane lauer actually hippies were known for being sexual loose if you know what I mean
Rockafire weren’t they disease ridden because of that?
Like Woodstock 99?
Actually, no it wouldn't. Music festivals over 100k people are normal each summer. They have gotten pretty good at running them these days. 3:45 - "There is some debate about its place on history books..." Um, no. There is NO debate. The mere fact that this Mojo video clip was made about an event a half-century ago is proof of its importance to history.
Exactly my thought!
i don't know how you feel about what went on at woodstock 69 but that was a awesome, awesome event. there could have been as many as a half million fans whose intent was to get high on drugs, alcohol and music and share peace...gone but not forgotten.
That generation rocked!
It was a completely different time and age. It can never be recreated. That’s the beauty of it. You can name a horse winner but he’s not going to win but once

I want to go back. If I close my eyes I can still see the "Orange Sunshine". Woodstock was an oasis in the eye of the American storm.
Still have the jeans ( still fit in em).
I wish i could of been there...nothing like that will ever be done again. And if they do, it wont even be comparable because of the artists of our generation. Our souls wouldn't be drifted away like in that time.
Never would have happened without "Venture Capitalist" ---- DIG IT!
Its amazing cause despite all the horrible conditions if woodstock everyone was having fun no fights no arguments just peace and love although there was unsanitary conditions and a food shortage and drugs everywhere but i feel that the drugs only added to the peace every year they had a woodstock Festival but they were never as crazy and amazing as this one ive never been into woodstock really cause i just thought it was a concert where a whole bunch of hippies listen to music but its more than that
And If I could make this happen again I would best part of my life
wish i was that baby born on freaking woodstock, how awsome.

few is defined as "a small number of."
It was two, not 10, not 5, it was two, it was a few. It would have been perhaps better to say a couple.
