I would like to know
1. What is whole reaction equations?
2. What did KI do in this reaction and is it limiting reactant?
pls answer
thanks you
great !! thank you so much for uploading this tutorial
thanks! we did this lab in ap chem and I didn’t really understand what was happening
Can we get details about the calculations? i.e. how to estimate mass % of hypochlorite in bleach?
You will have found the moles of NaOCl which were present in your sample. From there you can calculate the molarity of the javel solution and with a table you can find online, you can get the wt%.
edit: I just realized that they measured the density. So you can easily figure out the mass of your solution (density*volume = 5.4 g). If you then have the moles of NaOCl you can get the mass of it by multiplying by 75g/mol (approximately). Knowing that there were x grams of NaOCl in the 5.4 grams you get a wt% of x/5.4
Is there a percentage of strength the starch indicator should be?
Does the addition of the water during the titration procedure could change the concentration of bleach in the solution?
No
KUBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Thanks (:
