    Well done.
    I didn't know Alzheimer's Disease is caused by Prions. Thank you for a clear, comprehensible explanation.
    What a scary disease.

    One very important point I believe might not have been mentioned. The mis-folded prion causes normal prions to mis-fold too thus causing a proverbial “domino effect”. Absolutely frightening and one of the cruelest tricks of nature. As strange as the odds are, I personally know of three (3) people who have succumbed to TSE’s.

Atypical L and H BSE cause non familial SCJD in humans. C-BSE causes new variant CJD. CWD in deer can cause SCJD. So, you re wrong about it being man made.

      @@truthxposed8975 I recall that they speculated this when they brought back samples from Papau New Guina of deceased to try and understand this brain eating disease. Also, it was speculated that feeding cows other cow parts or animals created this disease in cows. Very similar response for which they didn't understand at first. They thought it was either viral or bacterial and brought back samples to labs and didn't dispose of it properly. They later found that anything that touches this prion must be incinerated. All disease come from man not following natural law and thinking they can outdo God imho. You don't need to agree, I am entitled to my hypothesis. But according to Darwin we should be the healthiest people in existence, yet here we are.

      @@iknowwhatsup2880 The true origins of the C-BSE epidemic in Europe was caused by them buying bones from India. Go watch the origins of BSE. Cattle were eating HUMAN remains. Human bones collected from the Ganges River and pulverized to be sold for bone protein meal.

      @@truthxposed8975 in the 90s when this first started there was no understood origins. I haven't revisited, so I'm not aware of this, thanks. I'll go look up current theories. The main point is the cow is made to eat grass and man in is infantile wisdom decided to go against this. This resulted in disease. Making vaccines in my mind is the same flawed principle. Or cancer treatment that hasn't changed much in 50 years and somehow believes injecting you with chemicals is the answer. Most people have cancer return within 5 years. All that money and research and zero results. Insanity!

      The Japanese have done a study of over 500,000 people which appears to show Dementia at double the rate amongst the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated control group. Whether or not that supports your point I don't know as it could just simply be micro clotting causing the problem rather than Prions. You raise a good point however.

    So, prions are not chemically degraded through the digestion system, but what about heat degradation? (Cook process)
    The reason of non degradation during the digestion is, I guess, because of the stability that the molecule prion cluster gets during aggregation… if my idea is correct… then, a simple and sole prion protein could be chemically degraded by the digestion process?
    Can we generate enzymes that can naturally be generated to degrade some type of prion once we get exposed to a low dose?
    Why do prions/clusters get attached to neurons and not other kind of cells? I used to believe it was some kind of biologic approach, but now it seems to me that it is also a mechanical reason (prion aggregation clusters)
    This topic is so interesting

    Are those mechanisms of protein misfolding and aggregation known to occur and affect other types of cells beside neuron cells?

    • @protecthislegacy3902
      @protecthislegacy3902 2 года назад +1

      maybe, but i would assume the neuron death is so rapid and lethal that its the only one that is talked about (neuron death being worse than the death of other cells a prion would affect). again its just an assumption.

  • @MissNebulosity
    @MissNebulosity 2 года назад +3

    So when these proteins misfold, why do other neighboring proteins aggregate instead of just bouncing off? Using your chair analogy, if i have an auditorium full of open, unfolded chairs and then toss in a single folded chair, the rest of the chairs dont spontaneously fold and stack.
    Is there some kind of "stickiness" that accompanies the prions causing the surrounding proteins to be more susceptible to aggregation?
    Is there some kind of chemical relationship that causes the surrounding proteins to be weaker in structure, causing them to not properly resist the aggregation?
    Im a mechanical engineer, and biology is the furthest from my specialty, so i apologize if my questions are poorly worded or nonsensical.

      Prions is in everything we have and eat, a single wheat plant in a lab of 1996 GMO had 7 new gluten proteins never ever seen before, and it had prion proteins, I ma just left wondering how many Frankenstein plants are sold in the market and marketed healthy, and how many sick animals who are being fed this shit.
      All of this because we mass-produce food and deplete nutrients in the soil, manure only replenishes some of it not all in particular when it comes to minerals. and that means weak, sick plants who get eaten by humans and animals alike and position the whole food chain and all that.
      So scientists and researchers come in with chemicals to protect the plants and making new GMO plants at that with so many unpredictable effects on a living organism as life on earth has yet to be exposed or evolved mechanism to properly digest these modern Frankenstein foods new nutrients profile.
      The plack builds up in the brain in Alzheimer's case is a natural prion that the body produces by its very own metabolism when we sleep the brain shrinks and expand like a sponge to circulate lymphatic fluid and brain fluid and flush away the prions for the body to digest/metabolize away and make the brain ready for a new day of living and learning and staying sharp.
      This does not happen in alzheimers patient as they have inflamed their body with toxins from food so long that genes in the nerve cells turn on and make it less capable to get glucose/energy in so the nerve cell dies of energy starvation and is unable to flush the brain and lymphatic fluid during the night when sleeping (only flushes when we do sleep)
