@@jainendrasingh8990 Android 13 has been doing a lot of bricking apparently with many devices. Trying to avoid upgrading my Pixel 6 to it because we got enough going on already in the world right now.
I have bought the A7 Lite LTE for christmas for me. Huge huge improvement over my previous Amazon Fire tablets. I have nothing to wine about the A7 Lite. It has 3 speakers as does the LTE version of the A9 as well. Only LTE versions have 3 speakers. I use the tablet anyways only for mobile entertainment majorly RUclips. The 3 GB of RAM are never filled up having open only 1 App at once. So 3 GB of RAM are plenty but 4 and more would be better. A tablet is not for playing games or productivity but rather was intended for sitting outside or in the bed watching YT, check some emails, listen audiobooks, read some newspapers on the coffee table or browse in an emergency the web. Play games and productivity as well as watching movies for that there is your desktop PC with an big screen. Thus the A7 Lite LTE does everything what a tablet is supposed to do.
a7 lite is ok but the cpu power of the Tab a9 is more than 3 times as powerful which will mean it will be a lot longer before it starts to struggle with general os and apps.
I wish you would've shown the Geekbench comparison with the A7 Lite. As its predecessor, it's a very important information to take into consideration!!!
If only the battery is good. Glad to see that you point that while others don't. I really considered this one as my daily driver since it has LTE option.
the difference is that the ipad mini is nearly 5x more expensive. Amazon sells A9 for nearly 100-105$. Amazon sells the ipad mini 2021 for 470-480$. comparing the two tablets is like comparing a ferrari and a 1996 toyota.
@@justincarlmonroy1787the price difference still doesn't make it "similar pixel density to the iPad mini" as said in the video. It's just factually not correct.
""How important are long software updates""?? My answer to that question is app compatibility and security updates including bug fixes. As of May 2024 RUclips requires your device to run Android 8, while Google Chrome browser and Microsoft Word require Android 10. These OS requirements increase as the years go by, so it is important for an Android device to have an OS that is at least three versions ahead. If a person uses a banking or debit app on a mobile device, software security is important including a proactive approach to overall device and data security on the users part.
Why is it "a shame" about the 60hz display? I have a phone that has 120hz (a54) and only use the 120 when playing games; other than that, I'm at 60. Who needs "buttery smooth graphics" to browse the net, or go through the UI? And please note, I said "need" not "want" or "lust for". That said, this and the other specs are good or bad on a case-by-case basis. :)
People perceptions does change after so many budget phone already has at least 90mhz screen. Coming from it and going back to 60mhz feels like a "stuttery frame" for most people so it worth to mention.
Thank you very much for your well explained review, I am buying this for my partner she has never had a tablet before and I think this will suit her as she does not need it for playing games, just for searching internet and maybe use it for things like RUclips and Netflix etc. Thanks again you have a new subscriber 👍

Amazon renewed in the UK, £360 for the iPad mini 6 if your budget can stretch that far. One-year warranty included. That would be worth the extra £150 over the Tab A9, as it is a far better tablet in every metric and still would get four more OS updates despite being released in 2021.
The 2 aren't even comparable, the Mini is so much better it's not even funny, I wish Samsung made a true competitor to it instead of releasing these mediocre tablets.
@neccros007 samsung really screwed their consumers with that tablet, it has a very low end processor, very little ram and storage. I bought one last year and ended up packing it right back up and returned after using it for an hour. The a9 is a much better tablet, the g99 processor in it is actually a capable midrange chip instead of the cheapest chip Samsung could find that they put in the a7 lite.

The realme 6400 that one really kicks butt. I'm only getting six or seven hours out of this one so that's a little disappointment to me in the video courses the RAM which i don't understand from samsung. A9 PLUS IS AVAILABLE IN 8 GB RAM/128. When i first saw a spec sheet on is the 8 gig 128 configuration was supposed to be available in the a9? At least that's the way to review ran from one of the tech magazines! Can't find any other rate in i can't use a 10 if i could use a 10 i would have bought the a9 plus! In the third thing now that i have had it for a little while the 60 hz he's right to 60 hz screen resolution is kind of weak. I saw in the samsung s8 something about they were trying to do buy one get one on tab a9 or something like that. Claim they were going to get rid of somehow or something i don't know. Wish i knew that at the time i would have bought 2.

I'm trying to find a budget Android tablet to take to our caravan. We do not have WiFi at caravan so want to connect an usb c to hdmi cable to our TV that is not smart., to screen mirror what is on the Tablet. Can this Tablet do this? Thankyou.
This is not possible in any entry level tablet or phone, even all the way to Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Only Galaxy Tab S9 non FE supports using USB C to HDMI cable. Alternatively, there should be tool or device you can buy that can receive and convert any Miracast Wireless Streaming to any TV via HDMI.
I would get a 4G wifi router for your caravan, then you can use whatever you want, like a google TV, fire TV stick, etc. Connecting tablets and phones with HDMI is never a good experience in my opinion. Or you could connect the TV stick to your phone via mobile hotspot.
I'm enjoying my tab a9 right now even though it has lower spec than other china tablets with 8-inch screen but I wish it has higher storage and a bit higher chipset so game wont lag but its okay i mostly use it for reading.

Frankly I like the Lenovo V700 specs but it doesn't have LTE version.. the A9 with the 8gb ram/128gb version, which should be better than the 4/64 for most 8 inch tablets.

I just went over to the samsung site and tab a9 is supposed to be able 8G/ 128 why you said not available to me in the philippines
Nice review. Thanks. Please review Realme Pad mini Vs Samsung A9 tablet
the ipad mini is better but approaching 3 times the price of the A9. totally different offerings.
Perfect tablet to use as satnav :)
How does Samsung Tab A9 Wifi only (no sim card) perform in Google Maps? How accurate is the positioning of GPS module
Actually no one talks about it, but the A9 can be used as a phone, it has a speaker above the front camera.
There is literally no sim managers setting tho, I just got one and am about to return it cause it won't even register my sim
If you bought a LTE version, do you have the call app?
I have the A7 Lite and its slow to boot and sluggish.... Not sure if something is wrong with it but wish I knew this tablet was coming out...
No that sounds about right, the A7 Lite is/was a terrible tablet.
@@deleqtronica8733 uggh Now I find that out... LOL
@@deleqtronica8733 Yeah I had a old Nexus 7 from 2013 thats just not capable anymore plus it kept dying so I needed something right before a trip I was taking. Since I prefer 8-9" tables, I grabbed the A7 for like 125.... Seemed once it boots and sits for a few it smooths out but booting and initial use is slow and sluggish.
is a9 good for video n picture editing like capcuts n vanca ?
I haven't had a tablet since my iPad 1, so I think I won't be disappointed by this device haha
Wow that's cool. I"m sure a tablet of this caliber would very easily make it to Canada right? Right???
It's already being sold in Canada
@deleqtronica8733 nope. That's just the A9+. What you might be referring to are the international models being sold by 3rd party sellers in Canada. No Canadian versions yet cuz Samsung is being goofy
@magaming7853 you're right I didn't notice it was sold by third party sellers, I know the a9 wasn't released at all in the US, maybe it's the same here
@deleqtronica8733 i believe so too. Such a shame cuz I was really excited about it
the only bad thing is it's only HD and not full hd. That's the only thing make me not to buy it.
Does it support the samsung pens.
No, just cap pens.
Samsung tab A9 better or lenovo M11 !??
anyone else think that he sounds like the pilot talking through the speaker in a plane
May 2024 and still not available in the US, and can't find the 128gb / 8gb memory model anywhere.
It is not available in India too with that configuration.. Samsung representative told me that there is no such configuration for A9. In A9 plus one can get that configuration..
I see listings of 128gb/8gb in other countries just can't buy it the usa. We're still stuck with a7 lite.
Imo the competitions are Lenovo M10 Plus (3rd gen), Redmi Pad and Honor X9. You compared it to year old tablets
and you are comparing an 8" tablet to 10" tablets. Thats like comparing a mini cooper to a 4x4 land rover.
Probably already somewhere in the comments, can you make calls with an unlocked sim card in the tab A9 4G?
Yes you can
Can I use hotspot with this
Bonjour, Il fait réellement IPS ce Samsung Tab A9 please?
I don't think so, the screen is quite low quality from what i've seen of it.
TFT
Shouldnt you be comparing it with the lenovo m10 not m9 and the a8 samsung not a7 lite
Can you use thos for video editing?
I won the tablet from my school, I don't think it will support video editing as I tried to play Roblox with it on the lowest graphics and it ran poorly
I bought a few months ago after i was sick and tired of this realme pad mini 8 in tablet. Realme stick and everybody on android 11 and that's all you're getting to get no upgrades with them at all on that product. I was expecting a couple things to be disappointed within the samsung i bought mostly samsung by whole life. Two kind of major things that bothered me with the samsung tab a9 is the battery of 5,000.
Hi, if you don't mind me asking, which would you pick between Tab A 8.4 (2020) and Tab A9 4GB?
Assuming Android updates is not an issue (use case = reading and maybe youtube)
I'm trying to find a budget Android tablet to take to our caravan. We do not have WiFi at caravan so want to connect an usb c to hdmi cable to our TV that is not smart., to screen mirror what is on the Tablet. Can this Tablet do this? Thankyou.
This is not possible in any entry level tablet or phone, even all the way to Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Only Galaxy Tab S9 non FE supports using USB C to HDMI cable. Alternatively, there should be tool or device you can buy that can receive and convert any Miracast Wireless Streaming to any TV via HDMI.
buy a second hand laptop with a hdmi port
I would get a 4G wifi router for your caravan, then you can use whatever you want, like a google TV, fire TV stick, etc. Connecting tablets and phones with HDMI is never a good experience in my opinion. Or you could connect the TV stick to your phone via mobile hotspot.
I'm enjoying my tab a9 right now even though it has lower spec than other china tablets with 8-inch screen but I wish it has higher storage and a bit higher chipset so game wont lag but its okay i mostly use it for reading.
Hi, I plan on using the same tablet for reading. How's your experience so far? How long does it last after fully charging?
@elle_00000 its been great so far ive been using it everyday for video editing I use it actually to edit the video in my channel as for reading im using it to read manwha and it last me about 7hours max for editing around 5 hour if streaming around 7 hour also.
If it had a 1080p OLED display with mat glass, it would have been a killer tablet for reading !
I find cheaper 720p IPS better for reading than 1080p AMOLED.
Vs Tab A8 with Spen?
What about Android OS update?
I talk about it in the review
@@MyNextTablet can it be used for editing videos?
Can you show me the galaxy tab e
Thanks
It would have been the best tablet had it been lighter than iPad mini 6. Anyway My Next Tablet will be Samsung tab A11 (Tab A10, which i presume, will be skipped).
I got only wifi support. Hope it will be fine
Can I make use phone calls and use WhatsApp on this tab?
Es ist groß und schön aber es ist nicht schnell😅. Danke schön! ❤
I need something small and cheap for work email at home. I refuse to put work email on my phone as I have been hacked in the past with this email. This should do the trick.
I wouldn't keep the tablet past 4 years when the support ends because of the short-lived battery anyways
Got one ui 6 two weeks back
This tablet screams 2014...
Wdym
But i got it as a gift when i bought an s24
*_I know Samsung DeX is only for higher models of mobiles and tablets but would be great to have it here._*
pens and dex are not going to appear on the most budget model
Weird think is plus version is worse it lags in everyway games videos touchscreen
Test some games on high graphics ❤
Samsung galaxy tab a9
I watched this because I wanted small form factor but that awful display resolution turned me off. Instead I bought for 150 euros an Honor X9 Pad and I am super happy with it. It is almost 12 inch display but is slick and I could not get better than this for 150 euros.
No pen support??? Like universal pen ?
No Samsung S Pen, but you can use universal pens
Frankly I like the Lenovo V700 specs but it doesn't have LTE version.. the A9 with the 8gb ram/128gb version, which should be better than the 4/64 for most 8 inch tablets.

U sound like Israel people
I just bought and noticed it lagging while playing and having youtube at the same time and i was playing yugioh master duel on it
In my humble opinion, 🍎 Security Update is one of the reasons iPad mini + performance is way ahead of the pack
I have Samsung galaxy tab A10. After every sofware update it is getting slower and slower.
Samsung haven't even released A10, where did you get one lol?
Modi wala 😂😂
this looks good but it just can't compete with the Tablet Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE pricetag of 139 euro (cheapest option) lol thanks for the vid though!
Poor resolution, Poor battery. It's better to wait a little more, save a little more and buy something with good hardware.
Very mediocre specs.
But no issue as I'm getting this for free from college after my graduation 🎓😊
