i feel like talking about the whole education system, there is a thing that people take called a gap year where they do figure out what they want to do. But as a whole the education system should allow for some degree of flexibility for students because everyone is a different level, and there should be an opportunity to explore career paths probably moreso in the last two years of high school, with college level integrated courses for those who want to feel out the college difficulty. Not everyone goes to college, nor wants to and thats not necessarily a good or bad thing. I agree that the education system needs to be reworked to be more inclusive and understanding of peoples varients in learning. But also understanding that its not practical with economic costs, as well as availability/quality of teachers.

Passed with a 99% final grade and assisted with everyone else from what I learned from the other classes. I will go to bat that math is fucked. Other classes however I will not sometimes because people are actually just lazy. English 3 class, teacher assigns like a 5 paragraph read and write a response. Takes about like 20 mins max if you write slowly. People in the class are whining about "Oh woe me I need 3 days to complete this," I legit don't understand they read more in the texts they get sent it's so easy. Some is lazy but if you get a teacher that doesn't connect with you it cripples the class. I ended up finding out that the people who pass a class the percent was like 5% of her students pass. I don't understand how she is still teaching and they aren't like lets keep her. Some classes are working Some classes are paying attention Some are luck of a teacher Some are effort Some are time I had never failed a class before that math class, Every class I would pass with about a B. Teacher in a class I have now teaches in the best way. He Shows an example in notes He acts out an example He makes a real world connection He gives you till the end of the week for all assignments to be turned in: Rare exceptions. I feel more aligned to everyone mainly josh. I have problems connecting to NL in the discussion. Maybe the reason NL thinks the way he does is because he had only one experience during all of school and judges it all based off of that. I have had the spectrum of school experiences, I'm smart as fuck all the way to Is this even my class. I just hope this helps a little bit to anyone.
Do the homework, show up to class, and take decent notes. That's how you get at the very least a 60 in college courswa. The rest depends on the quality of your work. If you can't even achieve that then maybe higher education isn't where someone should put their money. I dont think I've ever agreed with Eggboi over a subject
Ever notice around 20:30-ish that when NL does his Isaac voice, he sounds different? Edit: I feel bad that the creators of Pummel Party could never in a million years account for the amount of scum that radiates off of egg boy and furry
I always laugh at NL when he talks about his opinions on school. Mostly because the school system he wants in place, would have prevented him from doing RUclips and Twitch as his career. While NL has some good points, a lot of school isn't necessary, many of the years could be phased out without losing much, most of his points would be horrible. Rob and Austin however are much more correct with their opinions and ideas on it. After a certain point, most of your classes should be about subjects each student WANTS to learn. And homework should be gotten rid of, homework is a pointless thing to make kids take up their free time.
I agree on the NL point, I extremely disagree on the Austin and Rob points. Homework is in place to show if you are given an assignment and you do it correctly and on time, is important. Just like an assignment in the work place. People for some reason believe teens should have choices in what they learn without realizing something. They're teens. They're fucking idiots. They should not be allowed to choose for themselves until they reach adulthood.
Teens are idiots, however they do know what they DON'T like, and forcing them to do things they don't like, helps nobody. They don't learn the subject, it just makes them hate school and the teachers, which makes them struggle in other subjects that they actually do enjoy and are interested in. Other countries have better school systems because they don't pile on homework and force their students to attend classes for subjects they have no interest in. Yet in the U.S. and Canada they just pile on more homework and tests and then wonder why more and more students are dropping out, getting their GED's, and going to college for subjects they do want to learn or just going straight into the work force. Homework isn't nearly as important as you think it is. I never did homework, ever. I made it a point to tell my teachers I wouldn't hand in any homework. To date I've never had issue completing assignments in any job I've ever had, cause they're not related. I dunno about you, but I've never had a job give me homework. I've had jobs pay me to work from home, but that's about the closest you'll get.
Because the entire process of going through school and learning things that you don't have an interest in, is there to teach kids (likely just like the person who wrote this originally) variety and multiple subjects. There are some courses that are foundational for post secondary education, but all of the rest are there to force you to broaden your horizons. Children and teens have no sweet clue what they actually want to do for the rest of their life, and frequently change their mind in their 20s. But giving them a wider sample of things to learn from is hugely important, because without that you would never know what is out there. And homework is important because it teaches discipline, and allows you to refine the knowledge you've gone over. In class work is way easier because you have help, homework is just you, and thus it reflects on what you actually know. Teen years are rebellious years, and this comes in many ways. I personally know a number of people who hated math and chemistry, and are now pursuing Engineering and Chem degrees. Teens can't judge it all perfectly, so they need a better range of experiences, because as a teen you have nothing but school. As for the "Jobs don't give me homework" aspect, try working jobs above the entry level or that aren't labor. There's absolutely stuff you need to work on in off hours, or may choose to do so. Homework is teaching time management skills. Can you get those otherwise? Sure. But not everyone can or will.
LMAO!!! They vote on robots or aliens. They end up with aliens. Justin: "Oh my God, my vote mattered." The Question: What's the name of the robot in the movie Aliens. IT'S JUST LIKE REAL ELECTIONS!!!
You probably could have a floating gravestone... It's thought that you could have cars floating in the air, it just would require certain metals with certain properties to replace the pavement which would be ludicrously expensive, but better for a wide variety of reasons... I've even seen Amazon selling globes that hover in the air... I don't think you'd even need to tether to gravestone... It'd just hover... Although, that would maybe help make sure no one steals it...
Why does it seem like Nick and Austin low key hate each other? Do they really not like each other? It’s not as bad in this episode but there was another one a few weeks ago where it seemed pretty heated
Would you rather eat raw potatoes in a room without water. Or raw onions without water in the room. Raw onions would be the safe food as you wouldn't dehydrate yourself terribly ...
Sometimes I come back to this VOD to hear the talk about the education system. It still astounds me how ignorant Ryan and Austin are about the nuances of how the education system is designed and they just think everyone is as smart as them.
Really wish nick wouldn’t try so hard on some of the banter/jokes. He and josh could use a little tact, sounds like Ryan got legitimately annoyed (mostly at josh) in this one lol
On NL thinking high-school should be harder: NL went to hick-town high in northern hick-nowhere. Canadian public school tends to be more lenient with grades from that part of the country (localized grading on national tests). So even though maybe his classmates got A's I can guarantee that if NL delivered a paper in English lit. in Toronto he'd get a B-. This isn't meant to be insulting but his view is jaded and the western school system is unfair and biased towards rural areas, especially in Canada.
Raw potato is bad for the digestive system because the human body has trouble absorbing the raw nutrients and can slightly inhibit digestion in general, but it's not actually poisonous unless it's been exposed to sunlight for long periods of time, which isn't how potatoes grow or how you store them anyway. People have been eating raw potato for hundreds of years. That said, raw potato is unpleasant and a poor source of nutrients.
I skipped 5th grade, and most of 8th and 9th. They tested me at the end of 4th grade, and discovered I had a college level science, language, and social studies, and 8th grade math skills. They kept re-testing me and taking me out of class to talk to the councillors, because they said I had a 240 IQ. So they put me in 6th grade because they were afraid to put me in class around Jr. High kids. I have nothing but contempt for most of school... It's mostly just there to turn females into cows and males into obedient animal-husbands. I don't think numbers like IQ mean much, they are just used as carrots to trick kids into feeling motivated to participate.
Josh' constant interrupting and arguing in bad faith is becoming less and less funny every time. He's constantly interrupting people I actually want to hear speak and he's ruining bits and jokes by purposely redirecting narrative.
I cant believe we're still pretending the reason gone home was universally panned wasn't because of the lesbians Like, *especially* if the same exact person says they loved the stanley parable
It might also have something to do with The Stanley Parable's mood, insightful commentary, and general pacing being different and arguably better that causes some people to like one and not the other. Almost like not all games in the same genre are of the same quality I mean, really, while I personally have nothing against Gone Home, the two games are only really linked in terms of being "walking simulators." Other than that, they are completely separate in what they appeal to
there's a difference between liking one more and saying one isnt a game (which it is bc its 2 hours of solving puzzles in a highly detailed environment with an engaging narrative that just so happens to be about gay women exclusively, which gamer boys regardless of sexuality usually seem to hate for some reason 🤔🤔🤔)
I really appreciate how nice everyone is to baer. He's so wholesome and it's awesome seeing everyone appreciate him.

This is so wrong.
Sam Scholz Care to explain why it’s wrong? Or are you just gonna say it’s wrong without knowing why?
Nick really doesn't help himself huh 🤣
i will eat only onion because i love onions (yes i eat em raw)
LMAO!!!
They vote on robots or aliens.
They end up with aliens.
Justin: "Oh my God, my vote mattered."
The Question: What's the name of the robot in the movie Aliens.
IT'S JUST LIKE REAL ELECTIONS!!!
I’m in a school called Rpa and this is the perfect thing that they are describing

Austin...
look, i love him with all my heart but i don't think a bit about how Josh is disruptive (which he is) is necessary every god dang week
the amount of patently stupid inventions that involve small men is ridiculously high
130
Why does it seem like Nick and Austin low key hate each other? Do they really not like each other? It’s not as bad in this episode but there was another one a few weeks ago where it seemed pretty heated
Well tbh I don't really like nick either so I totally understand where austin is coming from.
@Negative Space the real truth is always in the comments.
Would you rather eat raw potatoes in a room without water. Or raw onions without water in the room. Raw onions would be the safe food as you wouldn't dehydrate yourself terribly ...
Raw potatoes are also toxic XD
It's malört though, not malort.
I like josh .0
Sometimes I come back to this VOD to hear the talk about the education system. It still astounds me how ignorant Ryan and Austin are about the nuances of how the education system is designed and they just think everyone is as smart as them.
Really wish nick wouldn’t try so hard on some of the banter/jokes. He and josh could use a little tact, sounds like Ryan got legitimately annoyed (mostly at josh) in this one lol
Daniel Manning he gets annoyed at josh quite a lot, I love it.
When?
So basically josh got drunk as hell than saw his co-workers friend n was all like “damn, I wanna get in that ass like a wedgie”
I want to bully Austin over his bad opinions on games and needless overcompetitivity.
Excuse me this is a christian channel no bullying please
your brain peanut
What game did he have a bad opinion on?
what megatyler said, timestamp?
Beginning at 53:00. All that bit about walking simulators was pretty awful.
I am a yes fan I didn't know half the ones that were yes albums, yikes.
I was thinking I'd be stuff like fragile and big generator or like 90125
alot of salt
On NL thinking high-school should be harder: NL went to hick-town high in northern hick-nowhere. Canadian public school tends to be more lenient with grades from that part of the country (localized grading on national tests). So even though maybe his classmates got A's I can guarantee that if NL delivered a paper in English lit. in Toronto he'd get a B-. This isn't meant to be insulting but his view is jaded and the western school system is unfair and biased towards rural areas, especially in Canada.
Raw potatoes are poisonus :3
Molly Friedrich weird flex but ok
Log off, weirdo.
NL is a bit salty today isn't he?
Josh' constant interrupting and arguing in bad faith is becoming less and less funny every time. He's constantly interrupting people I actually want to hear speak and he's ruining bits and jokes by purposely redirecting narrative.
QQ
"snooooore"
cringe and bluepilled
waaaah waaaaah
WE GOT A BLUEPILL OVER HERE
I cant believe we're still pretending the reason gone home was universally panned wasn't because of the lesbians
Like, *especially* if the same exact person says they loved the stanley parable
Gone Home was okay.
Austin's is literally bi, but oh no he disagrees with my opinion therefore he's a homophobe.
you know lgbt people arent a hivemind, right?
It might also have something to do with The Stanley Parable's mood, insightful commentary, and general pacing being different and arguably better that causes some people to like one and not the other. Almost like not all games in the same genre are of the same quality
I mean, really, while I personally have nothing against Gone Home, the two games are only really linked in terms of being "walking simulators." Other than that, they are completely separate in what they appeal to
there's a difference between liking one more and saying one isnt a game
(which it is bc its 2 hours of solving puzzles in a highly detailed environment with an engaging narrative that just so happens to be about gay women exclusively, which gamer boys regardless of sexuality usually seem to hate for some reason 🤔🤔🤔)

Such incredible ignorance about education systems and the way children learn.
MegaTyler93 tweet at them then
perkyoranges 2 I do not have a twitter.
