    Reminder to everyone to also do these exercises with your shoulder in use as apposed to your wrist! When you do the shapes larger mainly because you don't want to end up damaging your wrist.

    👍 good exercises to warm up, but as a beginner, as I am, I think this is a good way to just draw "anything" just make a drawing game out of these exercises.

    Great work some of this has been taught in elementary school. As adults this is great for beginners.

      Facts... I've spent months trying to find tutorials by a left handed artist. Out of frustration I began training my right hand.

    Olga, thanks for the exercises. I had fun doing it. However, I was curious to know the why behind every exercise. I mean, I know the entire exercise is for us to train our hand, but when we draw rectangles or lines for example, what's the purpose of it? My question may be silly but I'm a beginner and I'm just trying to understand the importance of learning every curve and lines. Thank you

      Since drawing is all about shapes and lines when you get good as drawing shapes and lines it will be easier to draw and put together a drawing that you would love

      Hi Corine, just look at it as a warm-up before a workout, that will give you more freedom in the drawing.

    I've never warmed up, I just start drawing. Is it necessary?

      Not always but it helps.is just like a runner doing warm up before a race.

      Just think about it as a warm-up before a workout, that will give you more freedom in the drawing.

    Я знал, что ты русский, когда увидел, как быстро ты это сделал! Translation: I knew you were Russian when I saw how fast you did it! These are lovely excercises. Also good are excercises for the eyes such as following labyrinths (mazes).
