Reminder to everyone to also do these exercises with your shoulder in use as apposed to your wrist! When you do the shapes larger mainly because you don't want to end up damaging your wrist.
👍 good exercises to warm up, but as a beginner, as I am, I think this is a good way to just draw "anything" just make a drawing game out of these exercises.
Excellent video! Thx for sharing these exercises. I’m learning how to draw for the first time in my life at 38 and need these fundamentals to steady my hand.
Thank you, Dhane, for your comment! And congratulations on starting with drawing! @@davetozin9502 I'm newb newb (also left handed) but I would want to believe that it doesn't really matter whether one's left or right handed for sketching
Olga, thanks for the exercises. I had fun doing it. However, I was curious to know the why behind every exercise. I mean, I know the entire exercise is for us to train our hand, but when we draw rectangles or lines for example, what's the purpose of it? My question may be silly but I'm a beginner and I'm just trying to understand the importance of learning every curve and lines. Thank you
Since drawing is all about shapes and lines when you get good as drawing shapes and lines it will be easier to draw and put together a drawing that you would love
Я знал, что ты русский, когда увидел, как быстро ты это сделал! Translation: I knew you were Russian when I saw how fast you did it! These are lovely excercises. Also good are excercises for the eyes such as following labyrinths (mazes).
Hello do you prefer drawing with a pencil or pen. I’m trying to figure out which one to start with. Also, any recommendations what to draw for beginners or where to start? Thanks!
Somebody actually asked you, How often should they practice? OMG You should have responded that if they need to ask that question they should be looking to clean toilets as a career move.

Hi Corine, just look at it as a warm-up before a workout, that will give you more freedom in the drawing.
Wonderful! Good job Olga!
Thank you!:-)
I've never warmed up, I just start drawing. Is it necessary?
Not always but it helps.is just like a runner doing warm up before a race.

Excuse me but it doesn't have to be a perfect circle right?
We aim for progress here, not perfection 😊
