The way this song has wrestled me to the ground and became one of my favorite tt’s of theirs after initially not really like it quite impressive! It was one of those songs that I was iffy on & not just in the beginning! But I kept listening for 2 reasons, 1) it was clear that the girls really liked the song & 2) the bridge! Lots of people think the bridge is so special because of Joy, Seulgi & Wendy’s parts (I get it!) but for me it’s the impeccable harmonies (really throughout the song but especially the bridge).
Okay but i feel like somehow every SM groups has to at least have this one REALLY experimental song. RV Zimzalabim NCT 127 Punch Girls' Generation I Got A Boy Exo Tempo Aespa Next Level What i mean by experimental is that the structure of the song is different, almost abstract not your typical verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge. The instrumental is also different. Also the abrupt genre change here and there (typical SM songs). These make the songs kinda hard to like at first or second or even third listen. Though I think Tempo works well, but the others are kinda hard. I'm an NCT 127 stan but i still can't accept Punch well in my brain till now 😂
Red Velvet actually has a lot of experimental songs as you call them…among many others, go check out Attaboy! Also, you forgot f(x), pretty much their entire discography could be considered experimental!
SM groups never disappoint, I'm very much enjoying you gradually discovering them all, I especially hope you eventually get to some of the senior groups like SHINee, f(x), SNSD and TVXQ!!

My enjoyment of this music video will forever be blighted by that horrendous, abominable outfit the stylist at the time put Wendy in (she's my fave). She's had the most questionable styling in several of their mv's and this one's green.. thing.. was the most preposterous. As recently as Feel My Rhythm, her styling remained iffy. I can only hope she never gets 'basketed' in the same situation again. Thankfully, her styling these days matches, rather than masks, her gorgeousness. But this song is indeed lots of fun. It's a head-trip of a video, and it's an absolute banger at their concerts!

And I'm sure the Wendy stans can explain their level of anger for the Red Velvet stylists, who constantly put Wendy in the most ridiculous, unflattering outfits possible. It seems to be better now, but in this era it was completely out of control.
