  • As the year 2017 draws to a close, we at Framus and Warwick are reflecting on the year and the history of the company. 2017 was a special year for us because we celebrated 35 years of Warwick and 70 years of Framus. In this video we share with you a view into the history of the company, the instruments and the artist who made so many dreams into realities. An interview with Hans Peter and Florence Wilfer gives insight into the struggles, triumphs and plans to the future. You will also see the roll call of musical royalty taking the time to wish the Framus and Warwick team a happy anniversary along with their personal connections with not only the company but the instruments. We hope you enjoy the video and we look forward to helping you achieve your dreams. Wishing you all a happy and productive new year for 2018.

I recently bought a Rockbass corvette basic 4, and was so impressed by the instrument I emailed Warwick directly through the website to say how happy I was with the instrument. I was even more impressed when Hans-Peter replied in person to my email. For Hans-Peter to take the time to reply to me personally, I say thank you. I can see your passion and belief in this family run business shine through in this video. You and your team at Warwick really do make a difference to all the players out there. Thank You and Happy Anniversary !!!

Thank you Hans Peter for making the best bass guitars in the world, I have been playing a custom shop Streamer and
custom shop Thumb since 1986 and 1987 respectively. No other bass can do for me what a Warwick can do...again thank you !

A bit late maybe, but wishing You all a Happy 70st Anniversary with Framus. As I'm not that much into bass.... But I've visited the old Framus museum and the Framus/Warwick store some years ago to restore a 1966 Framus 12-strings "Camping King" guitar. Want You to know I'm still thankful for this great visit and to look into the history of the Framus company. I bought several parts to make my old Framus guitar get into good shape again.... Many personal things happened i wish that didn't happen ever since, but i still have the guitar + most of the parts. Once I have finished it, I will let you know.
P.S. Don't You ever forget that by example Paul McCartney once bought a Framus Trumpet, John Lennon had a 12-strings Framus Texan guitar, and there where many others in Europe who bought and used Framus instruments.

The enthusiasm of your artists helped convince my girlfriend that owning three of your Basses isn’t insane! Thanks Warwick/Framus!

Just now seeing this. I’m a recent convert to Warwick and I’ve acquired 2 in the last 3 months (both corvettes but ones a 5 string and the other’s fretless) and i love them. I’ll be needing more in the future

they’re potato chips man, good luck having just one. I bought a fretless corvette in February right before Covid then recently got a $$NT fiver and it replaced my streamer LX ltd as my workhorse. The corvette is far and away the most underrated Warwick model.

Hans-Peter; I hope your dreams will come true, to build up a (new) market for the Framus guitar brand.... And well, to start a restaurant at the beautiful old Framus museum; would be a great idea. Good luck there in Markneukirchen.... If things turn out for the better to me i certainly wish to visit you again!

That was a wonderful video. Congratulations to Warwick Germany on 35 years of German quality and German ingenuity. Hans Peter ... as we are the same age ... and as a 6 time Warwick owner *and* former restaurant owner ... please don’t make your next mission a restaurant venture ... it’s more work than bass making :)

I love your production and demo videos, along with all the interviews and other miscellaneous stuff. They're all beautifully done.
The one video I've been hoping for and never seen is one showing how LED lights are installed in necks and set up in the electronics. This should not be proprietary information since so many companies do it. It would be great to see how side and front dots, the W logo, and fretless line markers are installed.

Now, it’s the 40th, my what has changed. Warwick seems to have dropped all artists support starting in 2018, the year after this video was released. They started producing Sadowsky basses in house sometime there afterwards, and have been pumping out both Sadowsky and Warwick masterpieces ever since. They are way behind in production, meaning they are not hurting for business at all.

Thanks for the basses! I have 5 great Warwick basses - they are stable and reliable, including a 1990 Dolphin Pro 2 and and 2 FNA Jazzman (fretted and fretless). Nothing sounds like them. Thanks.

They must make guitar version from their bass !
It is evident that thire bass products have excellent diversity and inventive design
But their guitars are made in a few models (and many of them are vintage framus models)
I believe they must make guitar base on thier bass models!

Yes it can be amazing 👍but I think framus needs to a high end metal machine and I think vampyre can be this guitar: a 7 string guitar with fan fret or a 6 string baritone for modern players.
Wow! If you guys make a vampyre guitar please give me one of them for free or at least with a lot of discounts 😁😉.
