In a sense I agree with Simon here. Of course he did like it like the rest of the judges, but someone had to see it. This show will only work as long he has good material. This one performed here would perhaps work at Duke places, but sooner or later he had to renew stuff. So that's why Simon also did say yes, because can this act work next time also.
All acts are that way. They all need to have good fresh material. What's your point.
His talent is to bring smile and fun to people, so why cant he go there to show his skills? And about refreshing his perfomance I agree with comment upon. Everyone needs it to reach success

But on top of that he found a , very funny , way to combine magic and comedy . But unlike Cooper , his tricks do work . And he is funny as hell . Brilliant .

He's very good & humorous! BUT, he should bill himself as a _Magic Comedian_ instead of a "magician".
This is why Simon is right about the magic aspect of it. His style of tricks don't qualify as a leading-edge magician. But he DOES qualify as a leading-edge comedian!
But if he would say that he is comedian, judges will wait for joke not to trick. So jokes won't feel as good as now. It was unexpected, and that's why he was funnier
