I still run my Renesis turboed... Not easy to do (or cheap) but it can be done. Makes less peak power because of the higher compression means you can't use as much boost. But It is a better daily driver with better response and torque low down. I've owned a Spirit R RX7 and a turbo Renesis Rx8 is better in every way.(except difficulty/cost to do)
@@Deanozdirect . . No, All stock internals except for the Rotary Aviation rebuild kit.. And Turblown Eng Stud kit.. I have spent 11 years and $190Kaud building different set ups, four different turbos, three different exhaust manifolds, three ignition systems, four different fuel systems, two computers, three different work shops..etc etc, But in the end I rebuilt the motor, redesigned the exhaust manifold and taught myself to tune it.. Lots of blown motors figuring it out. Finally found the sweat spot in tune and boost that doesn't blow up:)
@@r1yamahamini true dedication bro awesome work i have a 929 rx-4 sedan with a 13b bridge port with Webber old school pushing only 218hp at the wheels on 98 and I've spent a lot but nowhere even close to you only people with the rotary addiction can relate I also previously owned a series 3 rx7 12a turbo which I spent about 40k aud until I sold it good on you mate enjoy the rx8 and remember that it ain't a motor if it's not a rotor lol
@@Deanozdirect .. Nice, I hope one day Rx8's will go for crazy prices like your RX-4's do. The most I made was 354hp atw on E85 but the u joints on the prop shaft failed and the engine too eventually. Now it makes 254hp atw with only 7psi and 98. But that is super responsive and torquey.. If I knew it would cost so much I wouldn't have done it, I got into massive debt to pay for it. Yeah I've owned a lot of different cars and there is just something special about rotaries (‾◡◝)
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.:-//
