After spending three whole weeks in Bano, Ecuador (hiking, biking, zip-lining, working and studying Spanish), I jumped on my bicycle and began my bicycle tour into Ecuador's Amazon rainforest.
On this first day of the trip, I cycled from the city of Banos to the city of Puyo - a distance of approximately 40 miles.
It was an almost all downhill bike ride, past waterfalls and and rivers and scenic rainforests. Once I reached Puyo, I checked into a beautiful little hotel and explored the rest of the city on foot.
