I'm really impressed with the iPhone SE 3. The same general body and size as the iPhone 8 but so much better battery life due to the improvements in the chip and battery size, etc. Super impressive
I have the SE 3 as a backup phone and decided to use it for a full day. I set the screen brightness to maximum level the entire time that I was out because it was a bright sunny day in the month of May. I watched cable TV on it and made many calls using the speaker phone. Then i played internet radio between the calls all whilst I used ride share apps as I commuted to different locations. When I got back home five hours later, there was 56% of battery power left. I talked for two hours on the phone that the evening (using speaker phone) and then afterwards I played a few games on it. I never charged it, woke up the next morning with 21% battery power left. I was very impressed and pleased with it. Being a budget phone, it was far better than I anticipated!!!
I’ll tell you right now, you’re lying. There’s not a single chance you did all that and it made it to the next day with 21% the phone gets 5 hours of screen on time on a good day lmao. But here’s your internet points? So weird bro
@@OccupiedMuffins and I’ll tell you right now that you don’t know what you’re talking about! It may only get 5 hrs screen on time but that’s not the same as talk time and streaming music! When I was outside, the screen was brightest level but of course once I got back home I adjusted it. All phone calls and music streaming was through the speaker phone, not Bluetooth headsets! As a SE 2 user, I'm so glad that its battery life is much better. I love mine but its battery life is getting worse every day. I think I'll wait for the 14 to come out and get a 13 mini since there will be no mini anymore.
Double edge sword. Because mini maybe gone, prices may go up due to demand. People are sometimes weird like that. Take the Honda Civic Si for instance. No more Couple body style, so prices for it are up. Just food for thought, friend.
Just got the new SE and have been using it only for 2 weeks so far. Not a heavy user, I’ve been maintaining the battery between 80-20% (only charged it full to 100% once by accident). Today’s usage was around 6 hours from 75-20% (2 1/2 hrs Instagram, WhatsApp 30 mins, 1 3/4 RUclips, and the rest on MLBB, a MOBA game). Only bought this 256GB model for $325 from my telco provider, so I will be biased in my opinion it’s worth the price.
I just ordered 13 mini but can not help but be surprised by the battery of SE 3 I currently have an iPhone 11 and it only holds me for 5 hours a day after two years of use.
I’m the one thinking that Apple should replace de SE models for the mini? After using android for to many years I bought my mini and I’m pretty surprised with the battery performance and the easy manage with one hand.
Apple is able to sell such good specs in a phone because of the older design. The price to make the shell goes down each year, and they are using an iPhone 8’s shell. And a decent amount of people still want the home button. Apple probably won’t change the design.
But he litterally said that he had the brightness levels as close to eachother as possible, and that it may slightly out the test off, but that he put them as close as possivle with the tools he has.
Currently using an iPhone 8 and I’m considering getting the SE3 as an upgrade. Love the size & weight and easy one handed use. Will I see notable upgrades in performance, battery life & cameras? Even though my 8 has 100% BH on iOS 16, it does drain fast and can overheat.
8 hours and 30 mins is really good for the se! I am soon getting an iPhone and I want the iPhone se. Now that I know that the battery is really great, I am for sure getting it. Thanks for this test!
Amazing video! This is gonna help so many people choose a small phone, also can you make a battery drain test for iOS 15.4.1 from iPhone 6s to 13 including iPhone SE 2 and 3?
I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini. Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible. It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
While I’m not in the market for a smaller phone anyway (the keyboard’s smaller than I like on my XR, iPad Mini’s keyboard is ideal imo) and I’m just watching this for fun, I’ve gotta say, the SE 3 is kinda impressive. Launching for barely half the price of the 13 Mini, and secondhand prices being about half for SE 3 vs 13 Mini, if I were on a tight budget I wouldn’t mind the concessions SE makes if I could get it for 200 bucks. It’s kinda a shame that Apple doesn’t make big budget phones, it’s not a lot more expensive to put in a bigger screen. If they made a Pro Max sized SE 4 for like $500, even if it used the iPhone 8 design in everything other than size, that’d be a tempting way to save $400 compared to the current iPhone Plus pricing. I don’t love the aspect ratio on modern phones anyway, it wouldn’t be a big sacrifice to lose the top and bottom of the screen since in return I wouldn’t need to deal with curves or a notch or a wack aspect ratio.
If you’ll use sim card and Bluetooth in real life it will last 4-5 hours or less if it’s too cold or too hot outside, not impressive at all. If you get up at 6-7 AM I’m not sure it will be still alive when you get back home from work in the evening 🤔😕
