You and Ailarra are the most insane and fun stitchers ever. Once I got through your year end and finally got it. I was hooked. This is for your bits and bobs. Your going to need it🌺🌸🌺🇮🇪☘️🇺🇸🍎❤️🪡🧵❤😂Peggy
So RUclips suggested I should watch your WIP parade. I watched every minute of every part of your WIP parade, and the 2 flosstubes after it. How did I not find you sooner??? I love hearing your plans and seeing all of your projects! Keep it up, I can’t wait for the next one!
I am absolutely fascinated by how you have worked all your plans out! So creative and so many to keep up with! I can’t wait to see how it all pans out.
Love your long videos to stitch along to (slowly in comparison to you!). You are inspiring me to keep starting all the things, but then why not? Otherwise they will never get done! Looking forward to the next instalment when I will be impressed all over again.. ❤
Man I am so pumped for all your goals! Love seeing all your projects and I don’t mind the long videos at all! Keeps me motivated while stitching! Keep it up!
I dont mind your long videos, i sit and stitch while you show your stitching. Enjoyed watching. A stitch is a stitch as long as you enjoy all the projects, Im routing for you. 🎊
Hi Jen. I am fascinated with the creative ways you are coming up with to ensure you can make progress with your stitching. I will be copying your method when you get the bugs worked out of your system. I would like to be able to incorporate some sort of system for my crafts which span crossstitch, crochet, knitting, embroidery, slow stitching, and so many other. I am often struggling with decision paralysis and wind up making no progress at all. I think a great topic for a stitch with me would be how you decide on your goals for each project. Thanks for sharing!
Great projects and progress. Watching you tackle your boards is delightfully hysterical! Very entertaining and it will be fun to see the squares being completed throughout the year. 😊
What a ride. I absolutely love it. Love the concept. I'm like you, enjoy ticking of goals. Your mom sounds amazing. What a great gift idea with the box and presents in it. Keep on kicking goals!. Um, err, I mean mile stones. Lol
love long videos, I will always watch long videos! This helped keep me company when I had flu this week. Not much stitching because it involves me having to sit up. I haven't mastered stitching laying down, and yes, I tried. Also I found that I make a ton of mistakes when I stitch while sick......I had to frog something like 500 stitches, yeah. Stitch slowly and at your own risk if sick, lol
Nice progress! Your Mom is awesome! The Wip I was working on while watching you had one day of prior stitching and hadn't been touched since then. Your goal setting is rubbing off on me because now I've set the goal to do one part a week to finish it by Easter. It's an Egg Wreath from Peppermint Purple that had been a Sal. So now I've got that and the Haed Sal to work on weekly. Have a good couple of weeks.
Lol, I'm so addicted to your videos! I think I've gotten most of my Fandom Stitching group addicted too! We love seeing all of your WIPs and goals! It gives us all the motivation!
I’m glad you explained your goals process this year. Your wip parade had me a little confused with the categories but I’m in awe of your organization. My wip parade was like 20 minutes lol looking forward to watching your progress!
I am excited to see how much progress you make and on which projects. Like the milestone plan. I always say my to do list is longer than my life span. It would be horrific if we ran out of projects before we ran out of life. 😃
My dear you are contagious. I am in for the 25000 in 25 weeks. I will do my calculations and have the numbers ready to go for Sundays flosstube. It is really only 180 stitches a day, six days of the week. It will work.
Another excellent video. You kicked some serious butt with your goals last year! I'm so impressed with your focus and drive to stick to such a tough year last year. Looking forward to this year and all of the many goals and finishes completed in 2024 and the years to come. Oh and I love the idea of long term goals and the big picture as opposed to one year only goals.
Nice to see you again Jen. I'm working on the Durene Jones SAL too. I wanted to try that printed aida in the roll so bought the green/blue one for it. It's a little small so I'm leaving off the leafy border. So far it's looking great (I've finished the first block and part way through the 2nd)
Hi Jenn Love all of your New Starts and all of your WIPS You are such a joy to watch. I have a Torn Rotator Cuff - it is a small tear - in my Rotator Cuff in my left shoulder - I have not been able to stitch. I go see my Orthopedic Surgeon on Monday. My area is in for a really bad Snow Storm starting on Tuesday of this week and going all the way through Sunday. Tuesday and Wednesday is going to be really bad. I hope that you shoulder does not bother you too much. This is Sunday, January 7, 2024 Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵🐾🐱🐾
Loooooved the video! As long as it was, I still hated to reach the end. 😅😅 Your mom is awesome! What a great gift! Can't wait to see how much you get done for the next video. ❤
Hey Jen! Not like you need MORE projects, but FYI on February 10th Brick City is hosting a destash/yard sale event. I'm going to go and see what goodies await! Might be a good place to get some fabric really inexpensively!
Hi again! So glad you’re joining the Quaker tile flag SAL! It’s being hosted by DDs Quilting, Crafting and Reading Group on Facebook and Wombat Hollow Crafts here on RUclips. Darvanalee Designs Studio is here on RUclips as well (DDs). I’m planning on doing the Rainbow Quaker tiles on black too.
First.. I love the zipper noise. Second...the cats made me laugh between the scratching and you trying to get one off the couch. Great stitchy weeks for you! Cheers to another good 2 weeks.
You are a rockstar!! I'm still amazed by how much you get done. I'm so glad you're joining the quaker flag sal! I think I'll stitch UK, but I hadn't seen the Norway flag yet. (I'm 17% Norwegian) Your gift box was super amazing! Happy stitching! ~Angela
haha - that is how I got on to you and Ailarra - crazy chicks wth are they doing lol. I am impressed you enabled the master Enabler Stuart to do that Paradise piece. And now I am hooked on your channel out of pure amazement!
@@stuartsinstitches oh yes - and here I thought you had all the wips and starts lol! Just pure joy isn't it (and I dont have to do a single stitch to enjoy it)
hi, I did a trick with a pattern I am working on that has half stitches, to make them easy to identify in pattern keeper. What I did was I made that color a blend, where one part is the original and the second is 0, which pattern keeper translates to white. It works to easily see when highlighting that symbol, and it also works in the mockup, cause it just turns that color a bit more white. I also had blends for half stitches, and for those I chose the lightest color and added a dot to the number. It makes pattern keeper not know what that color is, and the mockup doesn't work as well, but it makes it very easy to identify when I should be doing half stitches
That box your mum got you was awesome! What a legend your mum is! Great video as always Jen, I just love what you do. And I was chatting back to you the whole time, like when you said about throwing more in and how it didn’t matter, I was like that is right girl! Xx
Having been introduced to you through your year-end WIP parade, I now get to enjoy your regular floss tubes -- AKA Year-beginning WIP parade with progress reports! Regarding "Advent Boxes" for cross stitch: What, you don't think anyone is already doing that?!? Okay, as a relatively new CS-er (3 year flossaversary in February) I only learned about them myself back in December because I had subscribed to Tiger Lily's flosstube so watched her "12 Days of Stitchmas" series. She did a box this year (although her boxes also included knitting things as well as cross stitch) and while revealing the contents of her boxes, she did reveals of a couple that she signed up for and received. What your Mom did for you is great but just so you know (or maybe you don't want to know?!?) they ARE out there! Presumably sign-ups for them (like the Missouri Star boxes) is probably at the end of summer or in mid-Fall.
When I had mentioned it to her it was about two or three years ago, before they became all the rage lol. The ones I’ve seen have been a pretty penny, more than I can drop at once on myself unfortunately
Your video came right on time for me!!! I had just decided to UFO my progress on The Mountain cabin at 36% and restart it. Does that count as a SAL with you and Cass??😊 The reason I chose to restart it is because I was stitching it 2 over 1 tent stitch using CXC floss and the back was like a shag carpet. I restarted it as 1 over 1 full cross - still using CXC floss. There is NO way I could afford all my wips if I were to use DMC, 1 skein costs USD 2.75 here in Iceland 🇮🇸 Look forward to your next video ❤
I was so excited to see HAED doing another SAL. They did them years ago, when they had the Bulletin Board and they were so much fun. (Yes, they were free then, but I would not have minded paying a nominal fee like how it is now.) I signed up for it as soon as I could and went with the Astrology Cat. I don't normally count my stitches, but my bf had given me a counter last year (or maybe the year before), thinking I might be able to use it for my stitching. So far, I am loving this one. I'm aiming for 300 stitches a day (as a goal, not a requirement) so I can get the whole thing done in a year. I'm hoping to finally pick the last BB SAL back up and finally finish that one (I'd done the minimum to qualify for the other charts which was difficult with zero stitchy bug that year). I'm looking forward to seeing your progress!
Love your marathon videos! You are a champion of challenges and goals for sure. You are half Norwegian - I know you have said you aren't a big reader, but if you ever decide to read a book, you should read Giants or the Earth.
