As usual, Secretary Anthony Blinken lectures the whole world on " the International Rules Based Orders," proposed by Nato members. When Secretary Blinken mentions International members of the USA, he is referring to the 40 military allies of the USA and Nato. It is international because the UK, US and Australia are 8,000 miles apart.
America's and its allies (ie G7) makes up only 12% of the world total population and 30+% of total world trade .... and they are setting the rules for "international order" ????

Put the money where your mouth is: American Direct Investment in the Philippines was $6.2 Billion in 2022 vs China to the Philippines $20 Billion in 2023.

2023 China invested in Vietnam "over $27.6 billion in 4,400 active projects" compared to:
"by the end of April 2024, American businesses had invested over US$12 billion in Vietnam, spanning more than 1,300 projects"
Instead Showing the ASEAN, to greater extent. the Global South, the money, the US is showing its Military Force while China: Investment in Economic Development, especiallly the Infrastructure with decent quality and cost effectiveness

China is reducing what it buys from the Phillipines... $150m less just in Bananas, then there's Durian, Pineapples, Water Melon etc
China doesn't have to do anything, just change where it buys from.
Let the people see how China was their Friend and biggest Trading Partner.

China has many factors to loose. We have 100 million who buy cheap Chinese products. Market trade breakaway will harm china and the Chinese investors living here in Philippines.. we can drive them away here.
China knows that Chinese millionaires here will be disappointed if mainland Chinese politics will cause distability on this mutual partnership. You invested here and desync is a total head hammering on your end.

@@tinaforbes1059 sorry? Not everything is linked to China. Airplanes, vehicles, cellphones microchips, foodies, apparels, appliances, silverwares, tiles, glass, metals, gas, oil, diamond, rare earth, home commodities, there are other sources to choose from.
It's just happen that China have all of them in cheaper price.
However growing economic decoupling of USA and departure of foreign Labor and production from China towards their own country is already incoming
China will now collect all those Inflationary Bubbles from wasteful tofu buildings, massive surge of unemployment, Yuan depreciation, and expected second wave of Trump Anti-China trade war.
More will loose on your middle income businessmen, and they will escape China and go into Mexican border to embrace the American Dream.
If you add more with economic decoupling with Philippines it will escalate into like what I said.... Sensational exodus of those already rich Chinese businessmen leaving in Philippines.

The Philippines economy is agricultural and China can get her banana from many South American and South East Asian country. The Philippines don't have any manufacturing to talk about and without Chinese products can Pinoys afford to buy branded products? Branded products are outsource to China too. The Philippines is irrelevant to China and can stay 3rd world. No one cares not even the US.

The president of the Phillipines is very incompetent. He has no longer term site on the issues of the Filipino people. Economy, education, and infrastructure investment should be his priority instead biting the hand that feeds them to where China's is the Phillipines' largest trading partner. In ASEAN, only PH seeks and begs assistance from US (and Japan) to “protect” them over the disputed South China Sea…while Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei and Indonesia where they have to deal with the illegal fishing from the various countries are able to resolved the disputes diplomatically under the neighborly spirit of ASEAN ! This dispute is considered a minor issue where the respective countries laying claim can navigate it in a peaceful and diplomatic manner…unlike Philippines who requires external help and continue to instigate and provoke the issue !!!
