      @@sharonvadas7928 I usually soak 1-2 teaspoons of chia seeds in a cup of water (about 8 ounces). I stir well to prevent clumping and let it sit for 10-15 minutes until the seeds expand and form a gel.

      @@TaijaSkyDragon Chia seeds can be used directly or prepared in simple ways, depending on how you want to use them. However, it’s not recommended to eat them dry straight from the bag because chia seeds absorb water quickly and may cause choking if they’re not soaked properly before eating.

    They love Meditarranean salads, especially 1. chicories like endive, radicchio, frisee 2. red onions, especially outer layers 3.purslane 4. intensely flavored olive oil.

      @@Syl-Vee I made the best popcorn of my life tonight, using olive oil!
      Oil goes in the pot, heat the oil medium-high, put 2 organic popcorn kernels in the pot, wait till they pop, then, and not until then, add the rest of the popcorn.
      Add only a single layer to the pan, and mix it in the hot oil, then spread it all out again in a single layer. Cover the pan, wait and watch. I have a glass lid! When it stops popping, at least slows way down, take the pan off the heat. Let it cool a few minutes.
      When cooked and off the heat, add more olive oil, and a pat of butter, and sea salt and/or kosher salt.
      Best popcorn I ever made!

    I now eat dried apricots, parm reggiano sliced and pinenuts/pecan mix for breakfast with black coffee, it just makes sense to eat this way ☕ ☕

    What can normal people eat? By normal, I mean how can you find food or olive oil that regular people can get a hold of without spending a fortune or having to order online or travel to eat healthy? It is not possible for a lot of people.

      Read Eat to Best Disease/Eat to Beat your Diet by Dr Li. Not just brilliant books but really informative and show how to incorporate every day foods to improve your health. Lots of lists of foods and simple meals plus lots of invaluable information.

      Avocado oil inflames me. My doctor told me thats because of the high histamine content in avocados. It triggers an allergic reaction for me in the form of high inflammation and the symptoms that go along with that.

      Look for organic cold press avocado oil. It is better than refined. Still has all nutritional value in it.

    Normal extra virgin olive oil has got so expensive nowadays so i doubt I could afford this special one if i ever come across it 😅 it’s ok for these jet setters travelling all over the world 🌍

    I used to follow Dr Gundry until he became a walking salesman for his own health product empire. Dr Li, the two of you hopefully are not the same. What’s all this crap about lectins anyway, it’s as if Dr Gundry is eating beans raw. Doesn’t what he says about lectins in nuts and legumes contradict your research on these foods being healthful? This video was not helpful, it was yet another infomercial for Dr. Gundry to sell his olive oil

    Dr Li is light years beyond Gundry. Hope Dr Li doesn’t slide down the hole Gundry is digging. I no longer listen to Gundry at all. Too much bull and hard sell con thrown in with some good info he has gathered.
    Gundry is so self serving so far not Dr Li. This is the most rational I’ve heard Gundry be. Hope Dr Li has a good influence on Gundry. Is Gundry gonna try to sell us something . Dr Gundry has been wrong so much, not Dr Li.
    Skipping the rest of this interview. Benefits to money and travel we can’t all enjoy. Happy guys but better energy from Li.

    Be aware that raw purslane leaves contain slightly more oxalates (165 mg total oxalate, 125 mg soluble oxalate per 1/2 cup serving) than raw baby spinach leaves. For a low oxalate alternative, consider watercress.

      Very few people have problems with oxalates as Gundry was wrong about. Bad health in general is usually the problem

      I use both healthier sweeteners. No artificials. I also just started using my pressure cooker, per Dr. G. suggesting it, to disable lectins. Been eating potatoes, and all kinds of beans again! No tummy problems. I lost too much weight with covid 2020. Longhauling still. But, since childhood I had EBV, Fibromyalgia, CFS, and Covid. I am 71 and still here! Still have Fibro, controlling it with food and holistics!! I love Dr. Gundry! And now a big fan of Dr. Li!
      Wish the industries protein powders and health powders didn't use stevia!
      I will eat more olive oil, already eating avocados! ❤❤❤

    Dr. Mike had Gundry on his show and essentially, albeit respectfully, tore him a new one. I hold Dr. Li’s info in high regard due to proven, unbiased research not driven by marketing goals. Gundry, on the other hand? Not so much.

      Gundrey sells this special high polyphenol olive oil that supposedly beats all the rest. Never heard of anyone speaking of these miraculous olive trees before. Yet, Gundrey has the magic pipe line.

    I think Gundry is a quack. He is most concerned about selling supplements. His advice on Lectins is not correct for most people. I think much less of you for having him as a guest.

      I think Gundry is a quack too, and I was surprised he was collaborating with Dr. Li. But notice he didn’t mention lectins once during the whole discussion. I suspect Dr. Li wanted his expertise on polyphenols, but put some serious limits on what Gundry could plug on Li’s channel.

    I wished you would had talked about oatmeal. Your for it he isn’t. I’m confused about so many conflicting viewpoints on nutrition. Some say keto is the Best diet others say vegetarian is best. Some say eat more whole grains others say stay away for them. All say they have the research to backup their opinions. I guess you have to find what makes you feel good and stay with that.

      Gundry is often wrong. Dr Li is more careful and actually does the research and treatment and isn’t so money and fame Gundry as Gundry. I no longer follow Gundry. Dr Li must be trying to help Gundry rehab his reputation.

    I don't trust everything Gundry says. He is very selective. He doesn't tell you pressure steam cooking will deactivate lectins, for example or some lectins have anticancer activities. He hypes his products.

    This guys title says eat 2 tablespoons of this a day on my utube face page yet fully 20 minutes into it I never hear a word about the 2 tablespoons of what?
    Man this guy does this all the time. Don’t suck us in and then ramble like Trump at a campaign rally. Give us the 2 tablespoon info up front then riff to your hearts content afterwards and let us decide how long we want to stick around.

    It’s not fair to criticize Dr. Gundry just because he sells supplements. They are good supplements, and he knows a lot about nutrition and gut health! Dr. Li would not have them on if he was a Quack, show some respect guys!

      I don't care about his advertising and sales of his products but I DO detest his ignorance in the ideas he presents to us. He is sadly mistaken so much that even I with a high school knowledge of food and body chemistry can observe the foolishness of your Dr. Gundry. When I heard my friend was purchasing from him and under some pressure to get a payment in, I tried to tell her but she is completely sold on Dr. G. She has no science background at all.
