While he wrote this song for people suffering from depression, it's heartbreaking that this song resonates a lot with him. Recently on a talk show, a close friend of his mentioned HuaHua reluctantly admitted that he once thought about jumping off his balcony. But HuaHua states he is doing better and learning to open himself up more! Yea this wasn't easy for him, but he knows there's a lot of people who support and love him. Wish him all the best!
He created this trilogy to help influence those with depression and help them find a way out. It worked (in my case) I have spent 20 years in an ever-deepening depression my mind tormented to the point I thought I would go mad. Insomnia unending the whole nine yards that he is singing about in all 3 songs of the trilogy, beautiful music, and lyrics that has pulled me out of my personal darkness and into a full recovery. Every single time I hear this song, I cry. He is absolutely one of the best singers/artists of our generation. For some reason, he reminds me of David Bowie, Thom York mixed with a little Johnny Depp. He is just stunning. Love that every song is about awareness, love, hope, communication, finding balance and peace.
