When you do the Pod Race, you must stop at the stop zone and hold the handbrake. Once you stopped and hold the handbrake, continue to move forward onto the next lap. ℹ️. If you don't stop at the stopping zone, you will be failed and restart the Pod Race. The track for the Pod Race takes place at the city course Special Stage Route 5.
I always stopped at the the start of the box so I got more speed to carry on the straight, I usually got rear ended when I went which gave a massive boost. I find it funny that the Pod is like a dog, the tail wags when your racing clean and makes happy noises, then when you crash, the tail goes down, it makes a sad noise and it changes colour.
Think of it as an expansion to GT3, rather than its own separate game. The game unlocked some goodies in GT3, I believe. Of course, I don't know firsthand, because the States never got the Concept games.

I can't remember if it's when you win the race for the first time or not, but I do remember that if you had Gran Turismo 3 on the same memory card that Gran Turismo Concept is on, you would be rewarded with 10,000,000 in game credits for Gran Turismo 3, plus you would get all the licences and win a few cars
they forgot about the entire game in the 25th anniversary, but games like GT6 still got the other vehicles like the nissan GTR concept we will never forget the pod
Does anyone know why there is a handbrake zone in this race? I've never heard of such a thing before so I'm wondering what the purpose of adding it to this race was for.
The car is supposed to show "feelings" The colours also show the emotions. Light blue is neutral, yellow is happy, red is angry(I think) and dark blue is sad.

It's real. This is sort of an expansion-y thing for GT3, released only in Japan, Southeast Asia, and Europe. It showcased most, if not all, of the concept cars from the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show, the 2002 Seoul Motor Show, and the 2002 Geneva Motor Show; if I recall correctly, upon achieving certain objectives, certain cars could be unlocked in the NTSC-J and PAL versions of Gran Turismo 3.
