Saw woody many times for the cobblers ... absolutely incredible.. great in the playoff final at Wembley .. his best years at Northampton and we thank him for that .. he was better than he is saying .. you don’t play 500 games if your no good .. brilliant hour . Lost a colleague to Covid at the weekend and this has really cheered me up .. can’t wait for part 2 ...

I remember scotty mcniven going in goal that day at Shrewsbury for us . He had blinder ! Woody will always be a legend and his banter is 1st class . Oufc fan
Bournemouth away at Northampton, first day of the 97-98 season. Baking hot day, away end absolutely heaving. In front of our own fans Jamie Vincent smashes home from the corner of the 18 years box, beating Woodman on his near post. Woodman barely saw it, as it nearly broke the net. Hysterical celebrations in the baking hot sun. Woodman was class though, a real stalwart. Around the lower leagues for an age it seemed. Great servant to the game.
Woody is just a naturally funny fella..he'd be great fun to go out & have a few beers with...ive actually known him since our childhood days playing football for the same sunday league club Selsdon Juniors F.C...!!! He was a great young Goalkeeper growing up & i could always tell that he'd go on & make it as a professional & that he did & has had a great playing career /coaching career and has now got himself a manager's job at my local club BROMLEY TOWN F.C.

Haha the Stan Collymore story is literally the north/south divide, no one I know up here would ever try and swing money out of someone at that kind of workplace or a mate. Seems common or a badge of honor to do it down south
