Top bloke TP. Wished we still had him at Stoke. Did a lot for charity too. Raised a lot of money for local children's hospice. Absolute respect. Enjoy your retirement Tone.
thanks for the videos over the years lads, going through the roughest period of my life to date, but this podcast is a shining light in a very dark time in my life, currently homeless living from shelter to shelter, watching tonight from the confines of a church in east london. Keep it up fella's your work is appreciated more than you could imagine.
Breaks my heart as a Stokie - A team that lived for the team and the shirt. Big, physical, proper players - when you look at the state we’re in now it’s just sad
Pulis almost got us relegated and hughes did, that’s why they were both sacked - 2 managers in 9 years is incredible when you look at some teams in the prem. ‘That’s what you get for sacking Hughes’ - He’s the reason we’re down mate
SUPERB Poddy this lads 👏🏼 Great to see our TP reminiscing on the good times with us. Left at the right time, and now Stoke fans will only ever remember him as one of our greatest managers. He’ll be sad to see the state of the team and the club now. Thanks for the good times Tone 🧢🔴⚪️
Love these podcasts lads, one suggestion… when the guest mentions a player by nickname or first name, could you edit their full name in accross the screen just once? Wouldn’t take much effort in editing. Keep up the good work lads!
As a former Stoke season ticket holder I can say the depth teams like Arsenal hated us was the depth we loved that side. Tony is right about the Man City game at the Brit. They had a £50m Brazilian and by minute 40 his head had gone. He didn't want to know.
Well no one likes stepping in dogs shit, especially if it’s the type you can’t scrape off your shoe. You won nothing, you done nothing. TP lies about vieira will have you pillocks waffling down the pub…..never mind the truth eh 🙄
Think I speak for everyone when I say “thank god this is back on the air again”. Best thing around. Thanks again lads great to have you back. Ps TP loves John 😂
As a Baggies fan I’ve had to endure his teams but he is a decent bloke I’ll bet you could do 5 of these with him and only just breach the surface. Another top pod though 👏👏👏
Incredible! Brilliant interview- good work lads. Heads up sound on Spotify version is so much quieter apart from the ads, had to come and watch it here where it sounded great.
I still remember when he left Stoke like it was last week. I can't believe the club, under some pressure from the fan base pushed this guy out. I felt then that the club betrayed itself and we lost our identity. What were the owners and the noisy minority thinking - absolute madness. Watching this has brought back so many good memories - thank you.
Amazing how often footballers tell lies, John Burridge always tells a story about playing on loan against parent club Newcastle and having a blinder for Man City and costing Newcastle 3 points that cost them the title he also talks about a save he made from Ginola and that he knew where the ball was going from having watched him in training..The reality it was the season before Newcastle blew the title and Ginola was even at the club at the time
Better opinion of him now he explained the situation at Wednesday. He was a terrible appointment for us in hindsight, but clearly wishes us and Darren well.
Just finished watching this for the 1st time. Stokes 1st season in the prem was immense. From the loss to Bolton, to paddy power coming to the brit with slices of ''humble pie'' 😂
Top top man and a top top manager especially at Stoke...Proper man manager of which u don't see sadly no more in the game...proud to be Welsh when u c men like Tony in the game...👏🏻👍🏻⚽️🏴
Nowhere near a top manager lmao. His time at my club was the worst football I've ever had to watch. There were parties when he left A complete bellend too
@@jamespicksley5781 each to their own opinion...what he did at Stoke especially was nothing short of a miracle tbh but I agree you can't be successful everywhere u go as a manager so I can understand your point from his time at your club...👍🏻
Enjoyed this one! Tony is a great guy, as a baggies fan thing's didn't go well in the end but was a great guy in management defiantly would love to see him manage somewhere again.
Can say all you want about styles etc but the one thing that TP always kept me on side with is that he’s a top top bloke. Great listening to him reminisce.
Such a good podcast, great insight into man management and the life of a football manager. By the way, where can I find the full Danny Collins podcast please?
I'm shocked he didn't know about Rory delap's throw. He used the same tactics with a player called Neil Smith at Gillingham. I always presumed he signed him because it was so effective.
A lot of love for Reidy and Colin on here. Blackwell and Westley have been slaughtered by multiple guests (particularly the latter) but it would be good to get their perspective. .
Which was a lot. Proud manager of Gillingham when they were runners up in the third division in 1995 (or was it '96?). From the David Moyes school of management. Won nothing but talked a good game. Unlike Brian Clough and Bob Paisley he had all the coaching badges. Dreadful negative tactics as we found out at West Brom a few years back.

Hi guys, can we get Kevin Phillips in the studio 🎙. Would love to hear you guys interview him.
Would love to see Keith Andrews or Dave Martin (goalkeeper) on with you guys
Sort your sound levels out on spotify, and I may consider patreon!
David Hirst!!!
Top bloke TP. Wished we still had him at Stoke. Did a lot for charity too. Raised a lot of money for local children's hospice. Absolute respect. Enjoy your retirement Tone.
Finally, the interview we've all been waiting for. Neil Warnock incoming...
Need Warnock
YES YES YES then Mick McCarthy?

Keep on truckin brother. Inner strength 💪 ❤️
Hope things get better for you .

We probably won’t as a team like that again ☹️
Did most stoke fans want him gone bit like Charlton with cerbishley
That's what you get for sacking Mark Hughes.
You all hounded him out. 🤔🤔
Pulis almost got us relegated and hughes did, that’s why they were both sacked - 2 managers in 9 years is incredible when you look at some teams in the prem. ‘That’s what you get for sacking Hughes’ - He’s the reason we’re down mate

As a Jamaican I'm really honored to hear Tony speaks so respectfully about Ricardo Fuller!
And you know this..maaaaaayne 👍🏽👊🏿
As a Hearts supporter, I loved him during his time with us 🏴🇯🇲
Didn’t want that one to end. Could listen to him telling stories all day!
We’ve all missed you lads so much 🐐🐐🐐

Great shout........👍
Class. One of my favourites. Love how tp gives detailed of tangent stories. What a man

Missed you lads! So happy your back
I’m a massive Liverpool fan. We know where respect is due and TP has our total respect. Brilliant interview guys.
Been waiting so long for the new season and what a guest to start with
Couldn't of got a better 1st episode of the new series lads. Really enjoyed it.
Keep em coming!
Surprising how addictive watching these interview gets. Hands down my favourite podcast. Please get Warnock on
Thank god for that, Under the cosh is back !!!!
Hear so much bad stuff about Tony but he comes across so good here , was brilliant to listen to
Think I speak for everyone when I say “thank god this is back on the air again”. Best thing around. Thanks again lads great to have you back.
Ps TP loves John 😂
Always thought the rugby team tag was unfair. Stoke under Pulis were one of the fittest and hardest working teams for that couple of years
Glad you guys are back. Fantastic episode. Brilliant.
What an episode love how honest he was spec about the sheff wed job being an owl. sir tony pulis absolute legend !!!!
Bit over the top
@@JM-nc9ck i know 😂😂😂
Tony wasn’t exaggerating about fullers goal at wolves, it was unbelievable.
Tony Pulis's Stoke City was a legendary bunch.
Really enjoyed that lads thank you
This is brilliant, coming from stoke myself its good to hear him talking about the premier leauge days..
One for the top 10 that one!! Great episode.
Waiting for this lads. Makes me week. Thanks lads .
Just to say Jamaica did have a game on February 6, 2008 against Costa Rica and match ended 1-1. And Fuller played vs Wolves 3 days later
Doesnt let the truth get in the way of a good story, he wasn't even managing Stoke when Vieira and Lehman were at Arsenal.
As a Baggies fan I’ve had to endure his teams but he is a decent bloke I’ll bet you could do 5 of these with him and only just breach the surface.
Another top pod though 👏👏👏

Palace fan here. Still thank him for keeping us up. We need someone like him now.
You’re way better more creative and enjoyable team now wtf you talking about🤣
I met him at the Albion training ground a few years ago. Came across as a really genuine guy who you could trust
West Brom fan here. Did a great job for us when you actually look back at where we was when he came in. Wasn’t really backed by the board when needed.
So glad to see you back lads! 🙏
Really enjoyed that one lads. Welcome back. Here's to more in 2023.
Respect. One of the last of the old school British/Irish managers.
Great to have you back boys and what a great guest Tony Pulis was great stories 👍

That Patrick Vieira story is interesting, considering he left Arsenal three years before Stoke got promoted to the Premier League.
If you listened properly he said it was the cup game
@@MrSteviegards1 The cup game was in 2005, Delap joined Stoke in 2006.
I doubt he’s a liar

Out of all the UTC podcasts I've listened to, in this one the self-deprecation-per-minute rate for Parky is the highest so far
Enjoyed this one! Tony is a great guy, as a baggies fan thing's didn't go well in the end but was a great guy in management defiantly would love to see him manage somewhere again.
the gym chat at start is genius!
Thanks you guys great interview I'm stoke fan Tony pulis stoke legend
Delap is a legend his dad was our Primary School Headteacher and inspired us all😇
Excellent 👏 👏
Great episode been missing these
That's a very old fashioned dinning room
Absolutely brilliant podcast. Enjoyed it immensely
Absolutely brilliant for us at Palace, had he been backed and treated properly who knows what might have happened.
mega! buzzing for the new season
He was Brilliant at stoke. Hasn't been the same...aris sir tony
Did well at West Brom
Are the lads filming on an ol BROOKSIDE TV SET???

As a football fan I love characters like pulis , straight talking proper bloke, no fannying👏👍
Good coach. If only the tactics were as good as the banter. Did good stuff with Adama Traore at Boro.
Brilliant podcast. Loved hearing from the man himself and hearing about his Stoke side. Kind of manager I would ran through a wall for.
Get Brian Howard on that goal against Liverpool in fa cup was sublime
Great podcast! Thank you!
Nile Ranger, Leon Best, Cameron Jerome, Fraizer Campbell, Danny Rose, some suggestions mate 👍
Welsh bloke love him as manager! Would of loved him at Cardiff! Great video!
Great full for all the great memories at stoke so I am Tony
Really enjoyed that, he liked you 'John' 😆👍
Best manager we had at Stoke, he had his critics but we've been in a mess ever since he left.
I love how he always asks for Jon's approval at the end of the sentence
Brilliant, always wanted him at birmingham, he would of suited us down to the ground. Top man
The boys are back!!! Great episode.. a john john john he loves you john💙
The Cosh is back!!
Tony’s finger boom
I always remember Pulis as gillingham manager in 99 play off final. Seems a top guy
Brilliant ricardo fuller story 😂😂
Legendary manager
Been thinking you boys are due back, even listened to the intro I've missed yous that much
Great to see this podcast set in 1983.
Was at the Viva event in Blackpool!! Absolutely fantastic lads.
Wellcome Back lads
Vieira nor lehman were at arsenal when stoke won 3-1 in the fa cup in 2010.
And Delap played 85 minutes.
"Gaffa, you worry too much" 😂
Great listen 👍
Great show guys.
Can’t stop watching his mouth when he laughs 😂
How many times does he mention the name John 😂
He should definitely write a book.
I'm shocked he didn't know about Rory delap's throw. He used the same tactics with a player called Neil Smith at Gillingham. I always presumed he signed him because it was so effective.
Peter Reid.
Neil Warnock.

Great episode. Shame TP didn't talk about his time in Hong Kong and the ins and outs of that particular transfer during his playing days
When T.P was the manager of Leicester that was Leicester City at there best,Tony Pulis stubborn, honest,Gave his all.
