Great job as usual Reuben. Geez that wing is so compact. It was interesting watching your foot movements into the straps. I was waiting for Poldark rowing ashore there !!
Glad you like the videos Mat! Reuben has been testing some small wings lately and he notices their super fast turning ability works well in the surf. Glad you are looking at the details too. Cheers, Beau
I like these pov vids. That foil looks great fun. I have to say though, I’d be worried about bottoming out and smacking the wing on the deck or a rock.
It definitely takes some practice and time on the water to know the depths, but it's easy to pull out if you're getting too shallow. Glad you like the videos. Thanks, Beau
looks awesome, what wetsuit and boots do you recommend for the current weather and time of year? maybe youve already made a video on that that you could point us to? cheers
We are wearing 5/4mm wetsuits with about 2 or 3mm boots (depends if you feel the cold or not). Most brands nowadays are making good suits, but we tend to choose ION or Xcel. A hood is a good idea if you're going out lots in the winter too. Hope this helps, Beau
Hi Chris . I would say behind a boat is best (but you need a boat).... Then with a wing and then from a wave. Having something to hold on to makes it way easier. Thanks Reuben
Hey TM , Good question. I would say go for the 140L its going to be easier in the chop and TBH its not that longer then the 125L but the extra width will make a massive different to that stability. Unless you think that you will be ok on the specs of the 120? Thanks Reuben

Thanks Mat . Reuben
Really like these POV videos, really gives a sense how to paddle into a wave with a foil. What's the water and air temp Reuben?
Glad you found this useful. Thanks, Beau
Thanks Andrew. Water temp at the moment is around 11c. So nice and warm! Thanks Reuben
Anyone who has tried to paddle board will realise the skill level necessary to do this. Fantastic.
Well said! Reuben makes it looks easy 😉
Thanks, Beau

do you think it's easier to learn to get up on foil in the surf sup situation or with a hand wing?

At 93kg, I can sup surf and wing, what volume would you recommend ? A 125 or 140 hover ? It gets choppy sometime where I go out ? Thanks
