I am a native Japanese instructor and have been teaching Japanese at colleges/universities in the USA for many years. In my online courses, I design all the lessons and curriculum based on my teaching experience. Do you want to first check if your learning style matches my teaching style? Try one of the mini-courses below. I can hardly respond to comments here on RUclips but I always answer questions from my students inside courses. 😊

If you want to learn Japanese, take Yuko sensei's classes at her website. She explains things clearly and in a way that's easy to understand.

@@opdhaka There's lots of free learning materials on RUclips and other places on the web. I would suggest that you save up to buy a good Japanese book (Genki, which is good but a little expensive or even Japanese From Zero books.) The Japanese From Zero author also does many many RUclips videos.

    方言では、
    食べない→食べん
    歌わない→歌わん
    立たない→立たん
    しない→せん
    飲まなかった(did not drink )
    →飲まんかった
So i think English is simple more than Japanease.

In what situations would you use nai for vs. masu form? For example: when speaking to close friends or family? Are there any specific rules? Thank you.

It's harder than the masu form coz you only need to change - masu to -sen.
