I remember when my daughter was 6 months old, our beagle named “Lewis” would sleep under her crib. One night her temperature went up while she was sleeping. Lewis somehow sensed it and came to wake us up. Dogs are very protective of babies. Lewis lived 13 years and had a massive heart attack while we were watching TV. My dagger is going to be 40 next year.
The ways he’s looking at the baby at 2:36 melts my heart. I have a Bernese and they are so good with babies and little kids. Biggest reason I got one. Don’t have kids myself. But a lot of little nieces and nephews.
Your dog brought me to tears as it is the spitting image of mine that I lost years ago, she was 11 when she succumbed and i miss her every day, enjoy having the best dog in the world!!

Can we just appreciate this couple who have a new born baby and are probably shattered with tiredness , but are still making time for the dog. They are awesome ❤️
Honestly it is more exhausting for the mom. It wasn't fun from a father's perspective, but it wasn't as bad as some make it out to be. Some nights were way harder than others though. lol
Benny is so excited, to have a new playmate. He doesn't realize, that it's going, to be a little while. Too precious. You all are terrific furbaby and human parents. ❤️❤️

What an amazing job of getting the doggie used to the baby. Great job! A lot of people get rid of their dogs when they have a baby, but dogs are sweet and kind and if you present the baby slowly, the puppy will take to the baby.

That's a great trick Benny knows. I taught Miki how to lay down and I could put a treat on her paw and have her stay until I said to get it and I was able to teach her how to balance food on her nose and then grab it.
Benny's got to get that attention! Best air purifiers are Molekule. A bit pricey....but well worth it. We have 2 of them. Definitely helpful living in FL, and with our Aussie/Bernese mix. Baby is precious! Benny will look out for him.
For most of my childhood leading up to my middle school years, we had a dog that was a cattle herder breed. When I was really young my mother told me that the dog would always be nearby keeping an eye on me and my brothers.
No your doing a good job installing the baby as a member of the pack by including the dog in feeding times and laying around grooming times even the walks , these are all things the whole pack would do togather and will install the baby as a member of the pack soon you can start making the baby a pack leader
