I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator. I recently ran over some pretty rough train tracks and my air suspension on my passenger side ended up not working anymore and so I had to turn off my air suspension until I could figure out the issue. I came across your video and it was exactly the same issue you showed. The height sensor ended up popping off and once I found that out I reattached it and my vehicle ended up leveling out perfectly! I would have never thought of looking for this issue. Thank you!
Six years later and this video just made me a quick $75 diag. Thanks for sharing this! 2004 Navigator, flat on the ground, had code C1881 and I found the ride height sensor showing 4.89V compared to 4.59v on the other side. Just a tad out of spec but enough that it wouldn't lift the truck. Jacked it up a bit to bring it below 4.5v and then waited...compressor fired up and lifted the truck. Waiting on a new sensor. Thanks!
johnaclark1 Do u kno if it would fix my problem? replaced all sensors and air compressor and still won’t lift up my truck, its slammed to the ground. code c1830. 2004 lincoln navigator.thanks
@@ignacioelizarraraz9228 I'm not an expert on these but that code looks like it is for the relay and associated circuit. That's an expensive parts cannon you've fired at it, especially when that code has nothing to do with the sensors or the compressor itself. You have some kind of electrical problem to/from the relay.
Thanks so much . It took longer to jack the truck up and remove the tire than it took to replace the leveler. Unfortunately I saw your video AFTER I replaced the compressor but it was old and noisy. Two thumbs up!

Thanks so much for this info! My '04 2WD Navigator is driving me crazy! It pumps up to a normal ride height, then while driving, it slams into lowrider mode, and bounces all over the road! Very helpful information,...I replaced the compressor in my 2007 Lincoln navigator L Ultimate, now I have a leaning issue on the left rear, even replaced the left rear air strut and the left rear sensor, still experiencing the left rear being lower than the right rear, what can be done to repair this problem. Thank you for your time and assistance.
Hey, I see you just answered someone else's question today, hopefully you'll see mine too! Its actually just a simple one about my OBD scanner and using it on an 03 Navigator. I'm having suspension down for the first time ever on my 2003 (and not sure if it is the early or late 2003 model, I'll have to find out because i know that effects a lot of stuff on them) but my question about the scanner, which I've had for a few years and have scanned a bunch of different cars and trucks with, both for myself and many more for friends who didn't have a scanner. It was just a cheapo basic model, cost $40 or $50, but has worked on every single car or truck I've been asked to try it on so far, just turn the key to the run position without starting it, it says right away that its checking for codes and usually within probably 30 to 60 sec I've got the codes. I know it doesn't do some things like the pricier OBD scanners will do like ABS codes, etc but when I plugged it into my 03 Navigator for the first time yesterday to check codes-I get NOTHING! It doesn't show any codes or say no codes stored, just I think said it was checking, checking, checking and the one time Ieft it on there for probably 20 min, went inside and took care of some other stuff and came back out-STILL NOTHING! Just wondering if there's some special process or whatever else I'm missing here? I just bought the truck used in spring and haven't had any issues, actually love the truck and got a great deal on it, 110k miles so I've been prepared to see some suspension issues and this is the first one, same thing where the compressor just NEVER kicks on like it normally always would, but I can't even get a scan! Any ideas? Thanks in advance and thanks a lot for the great video, this will REALLY help tomorrow to check the height sensors, which I've read about being a common issue all over, but this is by far the best explanation I see on how to check em!
Thanks for the great vids and helpful tips! My '06 is down in the front. Compressor comes on, but it does not move. With vehicle off, I can hear leaking on the front right. Seems like more in the compressor area than the shock. Is it possible the compressor itself is leaking? Thanks again!
+Heidi Derby Thanks again for the replys! Found my leak right where the little tank on the top of the compressor attaches. If I puch it in tight, the front rises like it should and shuts off. Is there a seal or anything serviceable, or do I need a new compressor? Thanks again!
FordTechMakuloco hello sir i have 2009 navigetor ther is problem in rear left air suspension i chek ford ids is comning C1893 and C1810 compreser r not working
Thanks great video (like you others). I noticed in this one your leak is to the Dorman's ride height sensor. For the 2006 do we need to order both driver's and passenger's part or as some mention is it the same part (without bracket) for both sides. I should say that my drivers has broken arm off but I wanted to replace both.
Hi dear , I hope you’ll be reading this, as you’re probably my LAST hope before towing my 04 Navigator to the next garage.. I saw most of your videos about the air suspension, and I encounter a problem with mine. It throws C1991 code, and I don’t know what to do anymore. The linkages are fine. The car is down, with approx. 4.7 volts on all 3 sensors. Solenoids could also be read. Compressor turns on if I shut 2 wires on the relay. Relay works too. I’m kind of lost. I would be also glad, of course, to donate if that nightmare will be solved. Thank you in advance!!!
2005 Navigator. Do the front sensors work together or independently? Does one rely on the other to work properly? Do both generally go bad together? Sensors not bound up at all - totally free. Pump starts only when it feel like it. Once running it pumps everything up nicely
Ok here is my situation, I replaced all 4 airbag/struts 8 months ago, I replace the pump as well that came with it. Theses are all Suncore replacement parts. First, my new pump lasted 4 months and the air line came out. And the pump was not working well, I replace with a replacement pump and all seemed good for 2 months. Then my front air bags would drop to the floor. I replaced with two new doorman height sensors. It seems to work for 2 weeks. Yesterday the truck drop all 4 wheel to the ground. I replace pump again back to my old Motocraft pump. Nothing happened. I could not get the pump to kick on. I disconnected the battery. Waited a while and connected it back on. I check the new Height sensor on the RF tire just to make sure. All of a sudden, the truck lifted to normal eight. Now after a cold night the truck is lowered not to the ground but very low again in the front and motor has not turned on? What can be the issue? Thanks in advance,
Have a 2003 Lincoln Navi, with air suspension system. Front passenger wheel is kneeling all the way down if parked for over 24 hours, but goes back up after engine is running for a minute or two. Changed out front sensor, but still get same results. Video mentions use of calibration monitor to help with diagnosis. Where can I get this monitor? Dealerships in my area don’t have it. Thanks.
My 2006 Navigator front end won’t air up when temps get below 35F external. Rear airs up fine. When air temps warm up the front end airs up. Can’t find any troubleshooting ideas. Do you know where I should look?
Hello FordTechMakuloco.. I took my Navi to the dealership because the driver side is jacked up to the highest level and will not release down. I stopped driving it because it would pull hard to the side and also the compressor was working overtime to try and compensate. The tech took me under the car and showed all 3 sensors were bad. He also told me that at some point prior the computer was adjusted for 2 extra inches to allow for my 26 inch wheels. Ive picked up after market Dorman sensors and plan on installing them next weekend. My question is.. will I have to take the car back to the dealer for the adjustment or will that still be stored in the car's computer? Hope that question makes sense.. Thanks
Yesterday my suspension stop airing up the truck is laid all the way down. The compressor does not turn on at all . After looking at your video I checked the height sensors, visually, they look normal I guess , nothing looks broke or anything. I could only find 1 sensor in the rear though is that normal ? Also what sensors control the compressor? I saw the relay but I don't know how to check to see if it's good or not . Any advice or help you could give me would be deeply appreciated
mine works sometimes and not other times, but ive noticed with the cold that it does it more often and after about 20 minutes of driving it corrects itself. where should i start looking? air lines?
Hey my compressor is turning on but my front end is on the ground , the rear is fine. Could it be these linkages that your talking about or is it most likely the air springs ? I can hear air pissing out so I’m assuming it’s the air spring??? Thanks.
Greetings..... I have a 2007 Navigator and I’m having suspension issues. over night my rear is slammed to the ground. When I start the truck the compressor comes on and starts to raise the vehicle but I noticed that one side does always come up with the other. As I let the truck run eventually it rises to match the height of the other side. When I drive it, the compressor is constantly running like crazy....... could this be a sign of a bad height sensor on the side that’s slow to rise?? Thanks in advance...
2005 Navigator Ultimate 2-wheel drive. Air bags checked OK by a professional. Ride height sensor are free. Front is always level whether up or down. When off for a while sporadically the front is on its bumpers other times up for a week at a time. Turning on the ignition the compressor does not come on while the switch is on or off. Wait a while open and close the door, rock the vehicle, ignition on and off and after a while the compressor magically comes on and all is well for a while. AS yet have not had an issue while driving but stopping and exiting has the front drop to the bumpers. only one time has the rear dropped If i do not turn off the suspension switch with the ignition off when I open the door the front drops to the bumpers also. Can this be the computer? Hate to buy something that is so expensive and not returnable. Can you offer any advise? Marino
Is this the same with the rear height sensors...also can you use a 06 rear height sensor on a 04 Lincoln naviagtor...i have been looking all over the place for 04 naviagtor rear height sensors..
Hi, my 2003 Navigator will go down in rear for few days then come up usually when I take it to the Ford dealer for them to check it. They say there are no leaks and they even replaced the air supply lines. Compressor comes on as per normal but does not pump up rear when this happens. Hot or cold weather the same.Dealer says it may be compressor vent and compressor may be bad but I am not sure as front still stays up. Could it be rear height sensor?
Hello Ford, Question I did a replacement on my Lincoln Nav 2003 left control arm. In replacing this part I got an error code c1998 I don't have air suspension it was removed to regular struts my dash is flashing Traction Control Light on, C1998: Module Calibration Not Complete? how can I go about this?
I have a 2005 Navigator and all 4 bags are down. The compressor is activating and air is coming through the lines to the bags. I replaced the front two bags/suspension and replaced the o-rings on the back bags and still, even though the compressor is running and air is coming through the lines to the solenoids, it still isnt raising. Any ideas of what else it could be? Could the compressor be bad even though its pumping air? The problem started in cold weather with the bags not filling up. Over 50 degrees and they worked fine. I figured that changing the bags on the front as well as the o-rings on the back would have fixed the problem.
Chris Guy If the compressor is running normally and nothing is going up my next question is do you hear the bags solenoids clicking upon startup and upon engine shutdown? If so I would suspect the compressor yes I have seen it before.
Are all three sensors the same part or are they different from one to another, I believe the rear sensor went out, it keeps pumping up the rear so it's to the max, I can't even get the linkage back together, I took the sensor off and it is hard to move back and forth, binding up bad
+FordTechMakuloco where do you find the rear sensor,, ive looked all over and cant find one, they all say either front left or front right, but no rear. all the auto stores are the same, where do you find yours
I repaired the air strut on my navigator that was bad but it still gives message of check suspension how do I get it to shut off also how can I retrieve codes on this
I have a 2005 navigator I replaced the front left sensor with a used one but I noticed that it drops further down than the right side and doesn't go up all the time are these plug and play sensors or do they have to be programmed once changed
Can you shed some light on the air suspension and power steering assist relation? Bought a 08 town car that already had spring conversion on it. Power steering no longer works. Can you have the conversion along with power assist?
Front Right is lower than the other 3... Compressor works, tries to fill all bags but seem passenger side low... can leaky compressor be at fault? or Height sensor on that side?
Can cold temperatures also cause the issue of lowering of the air suspension? Especially cold temperatures causes low ride and sometimes the compressor runs and sometimes it doesn't run or there would be a time delay.
Ford expedition 2006 body LL, Air ride suspension message Comes on compressor kicks on and keeps going and also went riding around. Is it the airlines or the height sensor needs to be repaired or airbag leak. I don’t believe is the Fuses or the compressor because they both work.
My whole Air Suspension was replaced under warranty the first time 50,000 mile later is all failed again. It would be $2400 to fix the air suspension or $1100 to replace with Struts and Spring. I picked Struts and Springs, Air Suspension is better but driving on roads and freeways, it's the same ride.
I have a 2005 Navi, when it is cold, the front will drop all the way down, rear is fine. if I let it sit and warm up, it will usually raise up normally, but if I start driving and it is cold, it may drop down again. In the summer time, no issues, ever! Started doing this two years ago, seems to be getting worst.I am going to replace the sensors in the front one at a time. I looked at them, and one has yellow paint on it and the other does not. Looks like both rods have been updated, do you happen to know if the factory would mark the sensors with paint to indicate it has been fastened? Trying to replace the most probable of the two since they are so damn expensive.
@@vdittycc I replaced both leveling sensors, no change. I did find however that I have a leak in the left front air spring. It HAS to be a electrical component that is being triggered by the temperature. We have finally started to warm up in Northern California so now I won't be able to diagnose it until the temperature drops below 45 deg. Meantime I will replace the air spring but won't know if that is the issue though.
Hello FordTechMakuloco my 2004 Navi leans to the passenger side, so my truck is cocked to that side. My compressor comes on a lot but don't see it leveling out, and also replaced the height sensor could you give some advice on what could it be a leaking line etc. The truck has worn my passenger side tires due to the lean all was brand new tires, so any help is appreciated Peace..
MOORAA222141 More likely than no the right front shock is leaking either from the line or the shock itself. You must check it when it initially pumps up the shock will rise to the leak point and fall.
i have a 1999 lincoln continental my problem is the rear suspension goes up but then i hear a click and it dumps out the air , i ckd the height sensors i thought the passenger was it but replaced still same , why does it fill up and that click and then it goes down ? only the rears
hey i have a 2008 Town Car. It looks like the compressor turns on and vents at the same time. I have a tiny leak at the left rear spring and I ordered the bags, but at times the rear stays up for several days. It seems that when the rear is on uneven ground, left side high and right side down or vice versa, the sole height sensor which on the left control arm gets confused. Am I on the right track here or could it be the suspension module failing or the vent valve sticking?
Did you ever solve this issue? I have a 08 town car that has been converted to coil springs and the air suspension disabled but now that has cause my power steering assist to fail.
I've noticed when looking up front height sensors for my 2004 Expedition, one sensor mounts directly to the vehicle, the other comes mounted to a bracket as a single unit/sensor. The one without a bracket to it is cheaper $$ than the sensor with a bracket attached. If I remove studs carefully from the cheaper, non-bracketed sensor, can I install that sensor to the bracket from the old sensor and it work ??
Fordtechmakuloco: I have a 2004 Lincoln Navigator that the compressor will not come on at all! It all started about a 2 weeks ago after hittin a Michigan Pot Hole! Hey there! I am looking at buying a 2003 Lincoln navigator and the owner said that the front suspension will go down over night and will go back to normal as soon as he drives it. Would this be something I could fix myself? Thanks!
Hi Thank you for the information and great view of the sensor. My 98 expedition has sat in the jungle in Mexico without being started for over 3 years. My truck has turned into a rusty nightmare that I could write a book about. The chapter on tarantulas in the truck would sell it alone. Anyway, After 3 months of BS, its running ish and my air ride is acting up. My rear bags inflate fully, like all the way up and hold air. They do not release the air. The front doesn't seem to lift. The truck has a stance of a 70's jacked up muscle car. Everything I touch on the truck made of metal seems to snap from rust and being ceized. No doubt the jungle rot is whats causing that. Can you give me an idea of how to release the air from the rear and what sensor may be the fault of this issue. I have already turned the switch off to deactivate the pump. Thank you for any help you can give.
Alrighty, The rear and front drivers sensors were broken on the plastic connectors They are jimmy rigged into place with zip ties and duct tape( thank you RED GREEN for the inspiration). Is there a sensor on the front passenger side, I can't seem to find one? The bags seem to be leveling right now even with some flat tires. once again thanks for the tutoral. couldn't have made the fix without you.
My 2005 lincoln nav, is releasing air at certain time thru the solenoid, front passenger side, and is no going all the way up like it has to be, what do u think? Could be the height sensor that is making the solenoid to release the air? (Note) i have already replaced both solenoid sides too, and it's not leaking.
@@jaimeolivares9004 no nothing, my only solution was to replace the whole suspension system, air to coil suspension and I did it by myself is not too difficult.
but you did not say if the vehicle is totally down and i change the sensor it still down, do i have to take it to a professional to raise or is there something else that i should do
Ralph Whitaker: I know I am late but did you ever find a resolution to your problem? I am having the exact same issue. I changed the sensors front and rear, the compressor and rear air bags replaced only 5 months old.
I have a 2005 Navigator that I replaced the front left Height leveling sensor. Now the entire front end will not pump up. Any advice on where I should start troubleshooting? Or possible problems?
Depends on if the height sensor was a ford unit and an exact fit. You will need to monitor the front height sensor voltages on a scan tool to see which one is off not allowing the compressor to come on.
took the tire off disconnected the Left front again and reconnected it. While the tire was off cranked the truck and all the airbags filled. Turned truck off turned off air suspension put tire back on and tried it again and now all four bags are not filling.
I have a 2011 Expedition and the rear of my suspension periodically lowers while I am driving. There does not seem to be a leak as when the vehicle is parked for an extended period of time the vehicle hight does not change. When I turn the vehicle on, the computer kicks on the compressor and purges the air out of the back air bags. What would you check first to see where the problem is?
Hi I have a 2003 Navigator. The compressor comes on, the front will pump up but the back will not at all. I did get the codes C1726 and C1725What do you think..... Air Sensor?
I have a 2004 ford expedition and the front goes all the way down when I cut off the car. Do u think the air bags are bad. Takes about 20 min to go down all the way in the front
Could you please send me a pic or a good diagram of the exact location of the air suspension relay for a 2008 Expedition. I am overlooking it I suppose. I understand behind rt headlight and " near" compressor but I swear I can't find it. Thanks! I cannot find this info anywhere!
In your experience, which car is more reliable? I am planning to get a used Navigator or Expedition... probably both over 100k. under 10g. But can't really decide which would be a better choice in terms of reliability.
Crap I got a 2003 navi I tried to jump the compressor and didn't get it to start. I went and bought a new one and still didn't kick in yet it did when I jumped it.. I ordered a module/relay in hopes That it helps never really thinking of what you just pointed out.:-(
Hello, i have a problem with a navigator 07 it has just two bags on the rear, both are down, i already change de compressor but does not turn on, the fuses air susp pump / air susp solenoid/ air susp logic and air susp relay are ok, now im getting this code: C1790 AIR SUSP LR AIR SPRING/SHOCKSOLENID OUTPUT CIRCUIT FAILURE, any ideas mate? sorry for the bad english.
Ing. Roberto Amador Yes you need to likely replace the left rear air spring solenoid they fail at times. The system will not even allow the compressor to come on with this code set so fix that first.
the compressor come on but the truck is still flat on the ground how do i know which sensor might be bad if that is the problem, this is the first time it drops all the way down usually it drops once drive around it will come back up this time it does not
axeandrail Rear bags like to dry rot and leak, but most common for your concern is the front air shocks that may only leak over bumps. Is yours 4 wheel air?

your a great help with your videos. I'm needing HELP. my late model 2003 Lincoln navigator Height sensors needed replacement. the left side i ordered a Dorman- no problem with the part. it was easy..But when i ordered for the right side height sensor, the part does not match whats on my lincoln. what currently on now has a mounting plate looks just like the left side. so now the new did not come with a mounting plate. i did receive the correct part for the 'right side' sensor, but my current one thats mounted is a female type that slip thru threaded posts and tighten down with the nuts. the new one has the threaded posts on it which does not allow me to mount. any advice? or would a phone call be better to try to explain.
+Ed Kalnins compress the threaded posts in a vice that came with the right side leveler then use the bracket from old leveler. May take a bit of prying to get the old leveler off the bracket.

rowekmr what did you do? I've got the same issues with mine and I'm trying to decide what to buy. Thanks
Thanks
if my old sensor has limited range, would there be a way to loosen it. WD40 perhaps? or is it a lost cause?
Yesterday my suspension stop airing up the truck is laid all the way down. The compressor does not turn on at all . After looking at your video I checked the height sensors, visually, they look normal I guess , nothing looks broke or anything. I could only find 1 sensor in the rear though is that normal ? Also what sensors control the compressor? I saw the relay but I don't know how to check to see if it's good or not . Any advice or help you could give me would be deeply appreciated
Great video!... Thanks!.... I have a 2003 lincoln navigator (75k miles)>>>> I KNOW
mine works sometimes and not other times, but ive noticed with the cold that it does it more often and after about 20 minutes of driving it corrects itself. where should i start looking? air lines?
Did you ever get this fixed? I'm having this same exact issue now
Hey my compressor is turning on but my front end is on the ground , the rear is fine. Could it be these linkages that your talking about or is it most likely the air springs ? I can hear air pissing out so I’m assuming it’s the air spring??? Thanks.
06 and 07 expedition struts are the same?
Bushing are the same? And top plate?
I need that info please.
What scan tool will allow me to read the sensor voltage. none of what i have even looks at air suspension (2005 navigator)
Are there height sensors for the rear? I can find those parts. My driver rear sits higher than the passenger. Any help would be appreciated.
FordTechMakuloco No, the solenoids are not clicking on. I checked both the front and rear and non of them are coming on at all.
Then the module has found a fault and is not allowing them to come on. Get the codes read from the 4WAS module.
I have changed bags and compressor...still slammed....do I need to jack truck up when trying to reinflate?
Are all three sensors the same part or are they different from one to another, I believe the rear sensor went out, it keeps pumping up the rear so it's to the max, I can't even get the linkage back together, I took the sensor off and it is hard to move back and forth, binding up bad
+Millward for Pocatello All three are different.
+FordTechMakuloco where do you find the rear sensor,, ive looked all over and cant find one, they all say either front left or front right, but no rear. all the auto stores are the same, where do you find yours
+Pocatello clc afl-cio Look for a yaw sensor at your local auto parts store and you will find what you are looking for.
So I have replaced my sensor on the back just like in the video. But it is slammed in the back but the compressor is not engaging
Do you know where is location of sensor rear driver side 06 Navigator?
I repaired the air strut on my navigator that was bad but it still gives message of check suspension how do I get it to shut off also how can I retrieve codes on this
I’ve got an 04 Navigator, pump comes on but truck won’t raise, any thoughts on what might be wrong?
Especially cold temperatures causes low ride and sometimes the compressor runs and sometimes it doesn't run or there would be a time delay.
aznnamja84 Temperature should not affect the air ride it is made for the extremes.
Cold temperatures seems to affect my 2007 Navigator as well
Ford expedition 2006 body LL, Air ride suspension message Comes on compressor kicks on and keeps going and also went riding around.
Have a 2001 navigator and my rear end is slammed to the ground but not the front?? Plus what's the guesstamate on mechanic fixing??
Is it the same issue if the back of the truck is stuck up in the air?
With all the suspension issues on this model years, we are doing spring convertion on his trucks..
but your tips are always great..
We would but these people love the soft cushy air ride too much.
guayaco3299 I got 99 Ford expedition Chang air to coil suspension but suspension light stays on how can I shut off permanently
Fordtechmakuloco: I have a 2004 Lincoln Navigator that the compressor will not come on at all! It all started about a 2 weeks ago after hittin a Michigan Pot Hole! I have since replaced both front sensors, I changed the compressor about 5 months ago and it was working just fine. I am stuck now! I had a code of "Front Pneumatic Fault" please help!
Hey there! I am looking at buying a 2003 Lincoln navigator and the owner said that the front suspension will go down over night and will go back to normal as soon as he drives it. Would this be something I could fix myself? Thanks!
DO NOT BUY ANY LINCOLN PRODUCT ....These things are a never ending POS with so many electrical problems
I have a 2002 ford expedition the rear and front bag/suspension on the driver side are stuck in the up position. What can this problem be ?
Your sensors popped off
How many ride height sensors does the truck have?
Is westar a good brand or what brand would u recommend.
Hey bud, did you get it figured out?
@@jaimeolivares9004 no nothing, my only solution was to replace the whole suspension system, air to coil suspension and I did it by myself is not too difficult.
but you did not say if the vehicle is totally down and i change the sensor it still down, do i have to take it to a professional to raise or is there something else that i should do
***** After a key cycle and the suspension module seeing a height sensor voltage now it should raise on its own.
My 06 expedition says C1726.. replaced both bags/shocks.. because 1 was bad, and getting a c1991 now
I have a 2011 Expedition and the rear of my suspension periodically lowers while I am driving. There does not seem to be a leak as when the vehicle is parked for an extended period of time the vehicle hight does not change. When I turn the vehicle on, the computer kicks on the compressor and purges the air out of the back air bags. What would you check first to see where the problem is?
Did you find the problem? Having the same issue
on my 2003 navigator only the passenger side go down Y tride new Dorman sensor but still little bit low compare to the diver side
Hi I have a 2003 Navigator. The compressor comes on, the front will pump up but the back will not at all. I did get the codes C1726 and C1725What do you think..... Air Sensor?
hi michelle i saw your comment do you recommend buying 2003 navigator is expensive to fix is it a good choice for and suv ?
I have a 2004 ford expedition and the front goes all the way down when I cut off the car. Do u think the air bags are bad. Takes about 20 min to go down all the way in the front
Lidia Rodriguez Yes front shocks on these are very common for leaks on the shaft seals.
I love you
Could you please send me a pic or a good diagram of the exact location of the air suspension relay for a 2008 Expedition. I am overlooking it I suppose. I understand behind rt headlight and " near" compressor but I swear I can't find it. Thanks! I cannot find this info anywhere!
I have an 08 my rear is down after I lifted it for an oil change
Did you find it
In your experience, which car is more reliable?
I am planning to get a used Navigator or Expedition... probably both over 100k. under 10g. But can't really decide which would be a better choice in terms of reliability.
+Follower Z the Fords are always the more reliable version.
Crap I got a 2003 navi I tried to jump the compressor and didn't get it to start. I went and bought a new one and still didn't kick in yet it did when I jumped it.. I ordered a module/relay in hopes That it helps never really thinking of what you just pointed out.:-(
I need you in NY- change compressor, module and air bags. Back is al the way down.
hello I have Lincoln navigator 2006 every time have check advance traction pleases I need a help what's the problem and same time work the suspension
all in one import export corp You must get the code read to see what fault it is seeing.
thanks for the information and help I try to check the all sensor suspension
@@FordTechMakuloco nice video i have a couple of questions, the SUV must have lifting or it dosen't matter, and have to disconnect negative on baterry?
Hi bro. I have a cuestion. When the any door its open. The compressor don't work. ?
Correct
Ok. Thaks. Because my car. the lift gate have a problem for close. And de compressor don't work.
The system will not even allow the compressor to come on with this code set so fix that first.
the compressor come on but the truck is still flat on the ground how do i know which sensor might be bad if that is the problem, this is the first time it drops all the way down usually it drops once drive around it will come back up this time it does not
Very helpful explanation. Thank You
I have an 02 Expedition. My compressor runs frequently.
What is the most common issue with these models??
axeandrail Rear bags like to dry rot and leak, but most common for your concern is the front air shocks that may only leak over bumps. Is yours 4 wheel air?
No. And just 2wd

What would be the problem if the front air suspension is at normal height however the rear air bags are fully inflated as if the 4x low has been activated...that is...the rear end s jacked up 6” higher than the front?
Hi Diaz. Have you figured out what was wrong? My 2005 Expedition has just develop the same kind of sickness.
For the life of me I can not get my 2011 Navigator to read my rear left height sensor.. tried 3 sensors and replaced compressor and both struts.. but same issue.
Am guessing is best to convert to Shocks Coils..which brand do you recommend?
+Knine Zuniga This is the most popular option- www.strutmasters.com/
+FordTechMakuloco I read they put their name on top of oem parts...
These are coil spring conversions

your a great help with your videos.
May take a bit of prying to get the old leveler off the bracket.

my 2003 navigator won't rise and the motor won't even kick in. I've replaced the compressor. the relay and computer module . and checked fuses. but still doesn't work. I just wanna to see if any one knew anything. and I think an airbag is leaking or popped.
+Brian Macias If you replaced the module you must get it calibrated or it wont work at all.
+FordTechMakuloco how would i calibrated it doesnt have anything but the chip.
+Brian Macias The dealer must calibrate the new module as it comes with a dtc C1990 from the factory until the calibration of the height sensors is done with the Ford scan tool.
